After Caseys base is attacked, he decides to relocate to a much more secure location. The new gang prepares an army.

Casey was beginning to have nightmares. Awful visions of the entire city of Las Vegas in flames, fractures as deep as the pacific, thousands dead. It was starting to seem biblical but Casey wasnt a religious man.

In another building not too far from Caseys location a woman was working late. She was a reporter for Vegas Times and enjoyed her job. She was going through the files on the Red Serpents and what had happen to those poor people. She couldnt find anything new other than an interesting report on a man named Casey Adams. Ex military, status: deceased. Well, according to the article. Little did she know Casey was still alive. The cause of his death was unknown. She then came across a file labled 'Marauder'. There were pictures of what looked like a person in some high tech armor standing on a roof top. Who was this so called Marauder? She needed answers.

Casey was working on something in his lab, when he felt uncomfortable about something. His gut instinct was to face the door that lead to his base. He pointed a newly constructed laser weapon at the door, sensing an intruder. The door busted open flying a few feet past him, and Steel Monger was standing in the entrance.

"Steel Monger." The Marauder growled. "How did you find my base?"

"My organization has no limit to their resources." He replied.

Casey noticed Steel Monger was carrying a handle of something. He pressed a button and out retracted a blade, forming a hammer of what looked like polished steel.

"You fool," Casey laughed. "Didnt you learn your lesson last time. We're evenly matched. Some metal hammer isnt going to be enough to stop me."

Steel Monger cackled. "Yes, but that was last time. As I said, my organizations resources are unlimited to no end. And this is no ordinary hammer."

Steel Monger began to run, and Casey formed a shield of dark matter. Steel Monger jumped, raising his hammer. Casey projected a dark energy beam only temporarily stopping his projection. He swung his hammer, sending a silver beam of energy causing Casey to fly backwards into a wall with tremendous force, and most of his equipment and other things in his lab got destroyed.

Casey groaned in pain. "Who are you working for?"

"Remember this name: Opus."

Then Steel Monger took his hammer and smashed it into the center of Caseys lab, causing a huge vibration, creating a hole that sent Casey below the floor, and about thousand tons of rubble dropping on him. Just before he blacked out, Casey could see Steel Monger flying off. Had it not been for his super strength and dark matter, Casey wouldve been dead.

Casey awoke a bit later, short of breath. The rubble was suffocating him, and he needed to get out. Focusing all his dark matter to the center of his hands, he projected an intense beam to create a tunnel like structure in the rubble. He crawled his way up and made it back to his lab which was completely in shambles. Every piece of his equipment had been destroyed. He had no power. His suit was lost in the rubble. Casey fished out what he could but most of it was totaled and would have to rebuild from scratch. Casey wasnt going to let this intrusion break him.

"Opus." He said. "Whoever you are, Im coming for you and when I find you, Im going to make sure every last one of you suffers."

The reporter now stood at what appeared to be an empty space hidden behind two buildings. Something was there, and she was determined to find it. She read the article on a smartphone she published: STRANGE EARTHQUAKE HITS VEGAS: Earlier this week, residence of Las Vegas were shook by a 5.0 magnitude earthquake. The quake itself borders impossible, as it wasnt under any of the natural fault lines...
The article continued talking about the mysterious earthquake. Luckily no one was hurt and there was no measurable damage.

The same night, Casey was in the laborius process of relocating his base. He spent almost the entire night dragging various materials across the desert to a nearby cliffside. He still had a few hours before sunrise. He dropped the materials and readied his dark matter projection. "Time to go to work..."

Meanwhile at Opus, a meeting was taking place. The Opus soldiers contacted their allies The Red Serpents, as they had a proposition they wouldn't pass up. Thaddeus stood at a large table surrounded by Opus soliders, and their mysterious leader silouhetted at his end. Stinger, Crescent, and Steel Monger stood by Thaddeus.

"Thaddeus, good to see you. And I see youve held up your end of the bargain. You really dont dissapoint."

"Most appreciated Master Scythe. I understand you have a proposition for us?"

"Yes. For the past 6 months we've operated as two independent entities, yet we share our resources and collaborate every now and then. I've been thinking if we joined together, and using our newest acquired resources, we could become one unstoppable entity. With our combined power, nothing could stop us."

Thaddeus paused a moment. "I like what Im hearing. However, we've run into a slight problem that I'm sure you know of. This Marauder character has been a pain in our side for some time now. His interference has been a hinderence yes but Steel Monger has recently limited his resources. He's crippled as of now and we have no idea of his whereabouts and I suggest we use this time to put that plan of yours into action."

"Excellent." Scythe seemed pleased with the news. "We operate out of Las Vegas but thanks to some smart investments, we will become more national and eventually globally known. It will all lead to a rebirth of sorts for this planet. We will rebuild it in our own image."

Thaddeus felt a change was in the air. He felt powerful being the leader of the Red Serpents already, but with the power of an organization like Opus at his disposal, he felt that nothing could stop him and Scythe, not even the Marauder, and with Steel Monger in his prime condition, the Marauder would only be a fly on the wall, one that he would command Steel Monger to finally squish.
