The DarkShadow Vol.2 #11: A Broken King

     Outside in the city the DarkShadow is standing on the roof of a building. He then heard a noise and turned his head and saw the Silver Knight  flying above him and landed in front of him. DarkShadow turned and faced the Silver Knight.

DarkShadow:

How were you able to send a message to my phone?

 

     He said, as he took out his phone from his right pocket and showed the Silver Knight the message that he got from him.

 

Silver Knight:

At our last encounter, I scanned you and found out about the phone your carrying. I then scanned the phone... you've done some work on it, made sure it can't be trace, impressive firewalls, rigged it to actually change it's Number every 4 hours, and pretty cool apps you got. But I'm good at this stuff, took me a few hours but manage to get in and send you that message to meet.

 

    Silver Knight said, he then started walking towards the DarkShadow.

 

DarkShadow:

Well I'm here so what do you wa~

 

     Before DarkShadow could finish, the Silver Knight punched him in the face, knocking the DarkShadow down to the floor. As the DarkShadow tried to stand back up the Silver Knight grabbed him and pinned him to the edge of the roof.

 

Silver Knight:

Why did you kill the Underground Prince, we agreed to take him into custody!

 

     DarkShadow manage to break free and get behind the Silver Knight and pin him down.

 

DarkShadow:

I never agreed to anything. You had your plan and I had mine!

 

     Silver Knight used his jet boots to break free of the DarkShadow and get re-behind him and extended his blade from his hand, DarkShadow also grabbed his sword and they both pointed they're blades at there heads.

 

Silver Knight:

Do you have any idea what your action will bring, how the Underground King will react.

 

DarkShadow:

He will be distraught, broken and feel nothing but hatred towards me, he'll stop at nothing till he gets me and that's what I want. He will want to kill me himself, and that's when I'll take him down!

 

Silver Knight:

But what about the City? How many people will be caught in the crossfire.

 

     DarkShadow then attacked at the Silver Knight, pushing him back as they blades clash. Silver Knight was pushed back to the edge of the buildings roof.

 

DarkShadow:

They don't concern me. My only objective is killing the Underground King!

 

Silver Knight:

No. He should face justice, for his crimes.

 

     Silver Knight said, then his visor's on his helmet, creating a flash. The flash blinded DarkShadow, making him disengage and giving Silver Knight the edge. he attacked DarkShadow, with his fist. The Silver Knight attacks made DarkShadow let go of the Crimson Blood Sword and with his eyes still blurry, he couldn't defend himself. Silver Knight then grabbed the DarkShadow, used his foot thrusters to lift him up in the air, then let go of the DarkShadow, letting him fall to the roof. Then  Silver Knight slam punched DarkShadow in the chest, while he was still down, causing the floor of the roof to crack and crumble from the impact. As the Silver Knight stood over the DarkShadow, he turned into Dark Smoke, surprising Silver Knight. DarkShadow then reformed in the air and spinned kicked Silver Knight in the head, sending him flying, but DarkShadow used and grabbed him before he was pushed off the building. He then lifted Silver Knight in the air and smash him to the ground of the roof multiple time. Then he pinned Silver Knight to the edge of the roof and put his sword at his neck.

 

DarkShadow:

Consider this the your one mercy, you get in my way, you try to stop me... you die! And if you escape from me. Know this, I know that inside that armor isn't bolts and wires, but flesh and blood. Understand Mr. Knight!

 

     Silver Knight flinched, realizing that the DarkShadow knows that he is Léonce Knight. DarkShadow then turned into Dark Smoke again and disappeared, leaving the Silver Knight on the roof, defeated.

 

     Meanwhile at the Underground Base, the Underground King sits on his stone throne, mourning the loss of his son, the Underground Prince, as well as feeling hatred towards the DarkShadow. His subordinates near him, stand there waiting for the Underground King to speak. After a few minutes of waiting one of them walked towards then Underground King.

 

Underground Citizen #1:

Sire, your son fought valiantly, and was a great supporter to our cause.

 

     The Underground King raised his head and looked at the his Citizen and gave a kind expression at him.

 

Underground King:

Your right... thank you!
 

      He said to the Underground Citizen and he bowed to him, honor to received those words. as he raised his head, gun was fired and his eyes widened, as he was shot in the heart by the Underground King. The Underground Citizen, collapse to the floor dead. The others were shocked, but said nothing and remained composed. The Underground King then continued to mourn for his lost.

 

     He then began to hear footsteps coming from a far, but growing closer and closer. The Underground King looked and saw the White Reaper walking towards him. She then stopped, standing before the Underground King and the two starred at each other.

 

Underground King:

Get the f**k out!

 

White Reaper:

You would dare speak to me such way, after all that I have done for you.

 

     She said as she took off her skull mask, revealing herself to be Stacy Morgan, shocking many of the Underground Citizens, except for the Underground King. The Underground Citizen then took there guns out and surrounded White Reaper.

 

White Reaper:

You've lost plenty of your citizens including your own son, do you really want to lose more?!

 

      However the mentioned of his son angered the Underground King further and his rised from his stone throne and pointed his gun at her.

 

Underground King:

Don't you dare mention my son. You have no right to speak such things!

 

White Reaper:

I believe I have every right. We had an agreement I supply you with the intel if valued targets, both to help cripple your enemies and to resolve many personal issues, and along the way to deal with the DarkShadow, as well as taken out of few necessary targets of "our"own.

 

Underground King:

Yes... that was our agreement. However you did not tell us the extent of the DarkShadow's capabilities, the extent of his power! Not too mention we now have this Silver Knight interfering with us now. I have lost many of my valued citizens in starting this war and yet we are no closer in reclaiming this city that is ours. And now I have lost my son!

 

White Reaper:

"We" have no sympathy over your loses. I even gave your son an edge to help him better combat against the DarkShadow, but in the end, he acted foolishly.

 

     The Underground King became furious over her words and started pulling the trigger. Just as the first bullet was firing, White Reaper jumped high in the air dodging the bullet. She backed flipped in the air and landed next to the Underground King's men. She then grabbed a metal rod from her cloak and it then transformed into a silver bladed scythe. As the Underground Citizens pointed there gun at her, she swiftly killed two of them, the others began firing at her, but she moved quickly dodging and blocking the bullets with her scythe. She then proceeded to attacking the remaining men slicing there limbs of, stabbing them with the shoulder and cutting off their heads, until only the Underground King was left. The Underground King continued to fire at the White Reaper, but she blocked the bullets with her scythe. She then sliced the gun and kicked him pushing him back to his throne and then put the scythe at his neck. The White Reaper starred at the Underground King, with a fierce killing intent in her eyes, which cause the Underground King to sweat in fear.

 

Underground King:

What did you mean, when you said you gave my son an edge? What did you give him?

 

White Reaper:

The same thing I'm going to give you, to finally have your revenge on those who took this city from you and your people and revenge on the DarkShadow for killing your son!

 

     She said as she lifted her blade, sparing the Underground King. White Reaper then presented the Underground King with a vial. The Underground King took it and saw the label "Serum. B".

 

White Reaper:

This serum will give you an added boost to yourself, give you the strength to face the DarkShadow.

 

Underground King:

This is what you gave my son?

 

White Reaper:

Yes. However he acted cocky, which lead to his demise. Don't repeat his mistake.

 



     He starred at White Reaper with fierce eyes over her comment on his son, but she was unfazed.

 

White Reaper:

I will supply you with all you need, just plan your next steps more carefully and consider this all the help you will receive from us.

 

Underground King:

Understood! I thank you for your support in our cause!

 

     The White Reaper then left and the Underground King was alone, sitting on his throne, starring at the serum.

 

Underground King:

Fear not son, I will liberate this city... for you... for your mother. I will restore this city to it's true glory, even if I have to crumble it all down first!

 

     The Underground King said, with a new sense of determination with himself.

 

     Meanwhile at the surface of the city, the White Reaper is seen interring a limo. As the limo drives off, White Reaper receives a call.

 

White Reaper:

Yes?

 

Voice:

How did it go?

 

White Reaper:

Excellent! The Underground King will continue his pursuit in reclaiming this city for him and the Underground Citizens, as the lost of his son only fueled his drive.

 

Voice:

Good... everything is going as plan. Continue obversions and debrief on what the outcome is!

 

     The call then ended and the limo continues driving off.
