The DarkShadow Vol.2 #12 The War Continues

     Matt:

5 weeks after the Catskill and Delaware facility attack, the Underground Citizens continue their assault despite there defeat. There attack have become more aggressive, with bombings at public places, executions of more high profile citizens, as well as mass shoot outs with the NYPD. The Silver Knight offers support in these attacks, but little success is being made. One can only wonder what will be left of our city if this fighting continues!

 

     After a while at night, the DarkShadow is fighting 7 Underground Citizens. As they fire at him with their guns, it has little effect on him and he kills all but one. He grabs the remaining Underground Citizen and pins him to the wall.

 

DarkShadow:

Where is the Underground King?

 

Underground Citizen:

GAH!! I'll never tell you... soon you will pay for~

 

     The DarkShadow immediately snapped his neck before he could finish and dropped his body.

 

DarkShadow:

Heard it all before.

 

     The DarkShadow then walked away, but began to feel the pain and went to his knees as his right arm and right eye began to emit darkness. He then slices the wall with his right arm that morphed into a dark armor demon claw.

 

     Meanwhile at a police station, Michael is going over evidence of the Underground Citizens, performing text to try to pin point where there main hideout is. Then Lydia walks in, she then waits patiently while Michael finishes his work. When he notices her he was startled.

 

Michael:

Ah! Jeez, I know your knew and don't know me that well so, just know that I hate being startled.

 

Lydia:

Sorry. How goes your work?

 

Michael:

Not good, what I've gathered through the materials of the Underground Citizens that they are based under the city, minerals of sewer water found in there clothing, but the sewers stretch for miles.

 

Lydia:

Isn't there like a way to figure out which section of the sewer they were out.

 

Michael:

Had the same though, and I've found elements that a specific place but they all have that, so were still have no center point to look.

 

Lydia:

The Underground Citizens attack are becoming more relentless. Are police force is already stretched out as it is. Looking for any suspicious signs. Bodies are also piling up, the people are becoming more and more afraid. The Mayor is considering the National guard.

 

Michael:

That might the best solution but also the most extreme.

 

Lydia:

What! The Underground Citizens are taking lives and tearing this city apart!

 

Michael:

Yes, but these people have been suffering, lost everything they've had and when they build a life of your own and for other like them, then they lost everything again, because of us.

 

Lydia:

How could it be our fault?

 

Michael:

Not you... me ad the rest of the force. We failed to see what was going on in our own ranks and it cause great suffering.

 

Lydia:

There has always been suffering and all these people are doing is adding more to it in this city that's why we have to stop them.

    

     Michael starred at Lydia and thought about her words.

 

     Meanwhile at the Underground Base, the Underground King is meeting with his forces.

 

Underground King:

Is everything set?

 

Underground Citizen #1:

Yes. All forces that have been picked for this mission are ready and awaiting to strike.

 

Underground King:

Good. Go meet with them and begin operation! Today... we will deliver the greatest blow they could ever imagine!

 

All Underground Citizen:

Yes Sire!

 

     As they all left, the Underground King notices one of them saying goodbye to his wife and son and soon head off. as the wife leaves, the son stays behind to continue watching as his father leaves. He soon sees the Underground King above him.

 

Boy:

Sire!

 

Underground King:

Hello, boy... come to watch your father off.

 

Boy:

Yes.

 

Underground King:

You seem troubled!?

 

Boy:

A lot have died, I'm scared to lose my dad.

 

Underground King:

It's always the greatest fear we get in times of war. The fear that we might lose someone we dear. I felt when I sent my son off to fight.

 

Boy:

Why are we in this war?

 

Underground King:

For you and for all of the children of our Underground. We all came down here, after losing everything, but we endure, we built a life, a city and a community down here. It was our rebirth, a new start within our lives and for us to have peace. But sadly, those above continue to bring us suffering, that is why we will no longer sit still and take the abuse, we will now stand and fight to reclaim this city, and give it to you and the future generations. The sacrifices have been heavy , but all to ensure, that New York will be saved by it's true Citizens... Us!

 

Boy:

Could I help fight!?

 

Underground King:

Indeed, in fact... I have an important task for you, one that will finally show those above, to fear us!

 

     Later on, Lydia is meeting with the Mayor. Who is discussing matters with a few city council members. He sees Lydia and dismisses the members, as they leave, Lydia walks up to the Mayor who sits in his desk.

Mayor:

Uuuugh, this is an entire mess, I'm having mass riots, of people who are losing there minds because of all this mess.

 

Lydia:

The people are scared sir, the Underground Citizens attacks are frightening and we still haven't pinpointed there hideout, so we can put an end to this.

 

Mayor:

Well what's the Silver Knight doing! Wasn't he built with some kind of scanner to track people, so shouldn't he be able to find the Underground Citizens in the sewers somewhere!?

 

Lydia:

He has been doing that, but he says they he can't seem to locate them, there seems to be some type of jammer that disrupts his scans every time he tries!

 

Mayor:

Dammit!... Maybe we should start looking into negotiations!

 

Lydia:

I'm afraid, that might not solve anything. The Underground started acting more serious after the death of the Underground King's son! He's pissed off and wants everyone to pay!

 

Mayor:

Dear god! This city barely even begun healing after the Hellfire incident now this!

 

Lydia:

Be strong, sir! This City needs you to be strong!

 

     She said to the Mayor, perking him up a bit. Meanwhile outside city hall, there are people protesting about the current situations, but among the groups, a few started to throw smoke grenades around the area. Guards started to move forward towards the crowd, but are killed by gunshots, which cause many of the protestors to runaway. 20 remain are grabbed heavy weaponry and started to move into the city hall building, killing any guards that came into there path and also any workers and city officials as well. As the attackers secured the main entrance one of the went to a desk and used the loud speaker.

 

Attacker:

Good evening, and this building is now under Underground Citizen control and we are going to kill the Mayor and all the other officials who have been poisoning this city, good day!

 

     Lydia and the Mayor who heard the announcement started making there way to get out of the building.

 

Lydia:

This Lieutenant Lydia of the NYPD, City Hall is under attack. I am escorting the Mayor, we need backup for extraction!

 

     She said, on her radio, while guarding the Mayor!

 

     Meanwhile at a police station, Michael is in his lab continuing his test, when an officer comes in the room.

 

Officer #1:

Michael! The Underground Citizens are attacking city hall, Lydia's there, come on!

 

Michael:

OK!

 

     As Michael and other officers started gearing up and ready to move, Michael spotted from a window, a school buss coming this way at a fast rate. He soon realizes it wasn't slowing down.

 

Michael:

Everybody take cover!

 

     Michael said, as the bus then crashed into the building, causing damage and wounding a few officers in the process. The busses doors open and 30 tactical, heavy weapon underground Citizens started coming out and started shooting at the police officer, who fired back, including Michael and a shoot out started to begin.

 

     Back At City Hall, the Underground Citizens continuing there assault. Killing any Security Guards, workers and as well as council members they come across. While Lydia continues to protect and escort the Mayor to safety. As they move to the hallway they come across 4 security guards.

 

Security Guard #1:

Sir, are you alright!?

 

Mayor:

Yes!

 

Lydia:

 need to get the Mayor out of here now!

 

Mayor:

We have to get to the Chambers room. There is a secret entrance that will lead to the Subway Station.

 

Lydia:

Alright, you two take point, you two guard the rear, let's move!

 

     They then moved out to get out of the building and get the Mayor to safety, as they moved Lydia went to her radio.

 

Lydia:

This is Lieutenant Lydia, at City Hall, it is under attack by Underground Citizens, I'm escorting the Mayor to safety but we need back up here... Can anybody hear me!?

 

     Meanwhile Back at the Police Station, the shoot out between the Michael and the police officers and the Underground Citizens. However the police officer hand held guns have little impact on the protective gear that the Underground Citizens are wearing.

 

 Officer # 2:

There armor is too thick, we can't penetrate it!

 

     Michael then carefully aimed and shot at a Underground Citizens joints and landed a hit.

 

Michael:

AIM FOR THE JOINTS!
 

     He yelled out, informing his comrades where the Underground Citizen's armor weakness. They then continued the fire fight. During which Michael heard Lydia's voice from his radio.

 

Lydia Voice:

This is Lieutenant, I'm with the Mayor, City Hall is under attack we need back up!? 

 

Michael:

Lydia, this is Michael!

 

     He said as he took cover.

 

Lydia Voice:

Michael!... City Hall is under~

 

Michael:

I know, were facing the same thing here! You have got to get the Mayor to safety. Any Officer outside head to City Hall!

 

Lydia:

What about you and the others at the station!?

 

Michael:

We can handle things here, the people in that building are more important. You just focus on getting the Mayor out of there! 

 

     Michael then put away his radio and got back into the shootout.

 

     Back at City Hall, Lydia continues escorting the Mayor, to the chambers room, along with 4 security guards. On the way they hear commotion and gunfire at the end of a hallway, they immediately take cover to conceal themselves. Lydia uses the reflection of a frame of a painting to see a single Underground Citizen coming they're way. She informs the others using hand signs and instruction on ambushing him. As the stayed in position, waiting for the Underground Citizen to get into a good distance, all the while he was searching the rooms for anyone. Once he was close, Lydia pounced on him, grabbing his gun, while a security guard grabs him from behind, while the other two protect the Mayor. Lydia manage to disarm the Underground Citizen, but he manage to push her away, then smash the security guard behind to a wall, releasing him. The Underground Citizen then attacked the security guard, but then Lydia stepped in and fought him. The two striked at each other, blocking there attack, however Lydia couldn't do serious damage cause of the protective gear he was wearing giving him the edge to take control and pin Lydia on a table and tried to strangle her, but she grabbed a pen and stabbed the Underground Citizen in a open area of his neck. As he let go of her to disoriented, Lydia hen grabbed a lamp and smashed it on the Underground Citizen's head, bringing him to his knees. She then got him in a triangle choke hold and then snapped his neck. When she stood up, she grabbed the Underground Citizen's machine gun and looked towards the others.

 

Lydia:

Come on, let's keep moving!

 

     As they were about to move they saw four more Underground Citizen coming there way.

 

Lydia:

Get to the Chambers!

 

     She said, to the others. She then started firing at the Underground Citizen's, giving the others a chance to escape and tipping a nearby table to use at cover, as the Underground Citizen's were firing back. As she continue suppressing fire, she then grabs a grenade from the dead Underground Citizen, removes the pin and throws it at them. The grenade then explodes, with some Underground Citizens getting caught in the explosion and, others getting blind sided. Lydia then takes this chance to escape and regroup with the others.

 

     At the police station, Michael and his officer continue firing at the Underground Citizens, trying to hit them in the joints, but only able to land a few hits. While the Underground Citizens continue to take more ground and backing the officers to a corner.

 

Officer # 2:

Were barely landing any hits!

 

     An officer said to Michael, but he was then shot in the head after. Michael soon saw that other officers were getting killed as the Underground Citizen move forward.

 

    Michael:

Everyone fall back!

 

     He said, as he covered for the other officer as they try to retreat to the next room, but then one of the Underground Citizens took out a RPG and fired at the door they were heading. The explosion killed 2 officer, and knocked down the rest including Michael. As Michael regained consciousness he was surrounded by Underground Citizens. They picked Michael up and dragged him to the other surviving officer and got them to their knees.

 

     Meanwhile back the City Hall. At the Chambers the Mayor and his security guards are waiting for Lydia, while also opening a wall to the door that will lead to the underground station.

 

Security Guard # 2:

Sir, were awaiting for the entry code.

 

Mayor:

Alright the code is 37#1.

 

    As the guard punches in the code, Lydia came in, which startled the others at first but they remain calmed.

 

Mayor:

Lieutenant Lydia... your alive, thank goodness.

 

Lydia:

You two help me barricade the door!

 

   As the two guards went to assist her, the one at the escape route finish putting in the code, which unlocked the door.

 

Mayor:

Lydia the door is open, lets just go!

 

     As the guard open the door, he is then shot in the head. Lydia and the others looked and saw Underground Citizens swarming inside. They immediately captured the Mayor. Lydia tried to go over and help him, but then more Underground Citizens came rushing in through the door they were trying to block and Lydia and her Security Guards were captured as well. 

 

     Underground Citizen # 2:

Get them on their knees!

 

     Lydia, the Mayor and the guards were soon brought to their knees. 

 

Lydia:

You won't accomplish anything in doing all this. All your doing is bring chaos to this city!

    

     Underground Citizen #3:

Silence!

 

     He said, then smacked Lydia in the face.

 

Underground Citizen #2:

The Underground King has promised to deliver a heavy blow, that will show the people that they will die if they stay! Once we kill you and the news crosses to the city, they will leave for they're own survival, just as always, in order to survive we became the scapegoats of so much wrong doings!

 

Lydia:

All that your doing is just being the kind of people that cast you aside.

 

Underground Citizen #4:

This City is Ours!

 

Lydia:

This City belongs to everyone, cause everyone has the right to live and build there own life in this city!

 

Underground Citizen #2:

And in all that time they've brought nothing but chaos, we will be the ones to rebuild this city! Prepare for Execution!

 

     Back at the Station, Michael and his officer are still on their knees, lined up while the Underground Citizens preparing to execute them.

 

Michael:

What do you hope to accomplish!?

 

Underground Citizen #5:

Cleanse this citizen that stain it!

 

Michael:

That's what Ifrit was doing in his cleansing of fire... your just now finishing his work and killing innocent people. Your no different from those you hate!

 

     The Underground Citizens then became furious and one of them grabbed and dragged Michael out from the line up and he and others started beating Michael. The others became irritated and tried to step in but the remaining Underground Citizen stopped them. After the Underground Citizen were done beating Michael, one of them grabbed Michael by the neck and pointed a gun at him.

 

Underground Citizen #5:

Ifrit was nothing but a man who just wanted to burn this city, we our King were going to save it, by getting rid of the infection. We are the antibodies that fight against the disease which is you!

 

Michael:

Can't tell you how many times... I've heard one of your own say that similar words. Rrrr…. and lost they're life.

 

Underground Citizen #5:

You won't end us!

 

Michael:

I'm a Cop and CSI.. I don't end things I bring them in for justice... But he will end it!

 

Underground Citizen #5:

Who?!

 

     Then as he was about to pull the trigger, his arm was cut off by someone! Both he and Michael looked to see who it is.

 

DarkShadow:

Me!

 

     The DarkShadow said, as he then finished the Underground Citizen. He then charged at the rest who began shooting at him.

 

     Meanwhile back at city hall then Underground Citizens grab the  Mayor and prepare to execute him at them back of the head.

 

Underground Citizen #4:

Before you died he wanted you to know... that Warren Clyde bids you farewell!

 

     The Mayor's eyes widened when he heard that name and Lydia became confused by his reaction. As then Underground Citizen was about to fire. They all heard a loud noise that was getting louder and louder.

 

Underground Citizen #4:

What is that!?

 

Underground Citizen #6:

You think it's the DarkShadow?

 

Lydia:

No... he doesn't make noise.

 

     Then something crashed into the room from the ceiling and landed on the floor creating a puff a smoke. As the smoke cleared they all saw the Silver Knight, who immediately took down the one about to kill the Mayor by punching him, pushing him to the ceiling crashing into it, then blasted three other with his energy blast, while the other Underground Citizens took cover and fired back!

 

Silver Knight:

Guys come one, what good will bullets do against me!

 

     Silver Knight then hovered in the air, but the Underground Citizens continued shooting at him.

 

Silver Knight:

Squire! lock onto their weapons.

 

Squire:

Done sir.

 

    Barrels started to come out  on the side of Silver Knights arm, then he began shooting rounds of bullets, but only taking out their guns, until they were all destroyed leaving the Underground Citizens unarmed.

 

     Back at the police station, the DarkShadow continues to take out the Underground Citizens who fight back, allowing Michael and the other officer to escape and find cover. DarkShadow swiftly cuts down the Underground Citizens. One of them shot an RPG missile at him, but he sliced it in two, then used his chain to grab the RPG and disarm the Underground Citizen, then rushes towards him and cuts off his head. He then wraps his chain around another's neck and drags him towards him, then lifts the Underground Citizens up, making him suffocate, while the remaining three converge on them.

 

Underground Citizen # 7:

Release him!



 

     But the DarkShadow gripped tighter on the chain making it more harder for the Underground Citizen to breath.

 

DarkShadow:

Put your weapons down... and I'll spare your lives.

    

     The Underground Citizens then dropped there weapons, but the captured Underground Citizens, carefully took out a EpiPen and looked to the others, and nodded at them who nodded back, He then injected himself with the EpiPen. His muscles began to increase and the Underground Citizens broke the chain around his neck, then stood up and faced the DarkShadow, who tried to punch him, but the Underground Citizen black his punch and arm lock him. The Underground Citizen then began to punch DarkShadow with a powerful impact, then grabs him with both hands and tossed him crashing into a office. As the DarkShadow got up he saw the other three injecting themselves as well and gain tremendous strength.

 

DarkShadow:

Aw, Hell!

 

     They then started to march towards the DarkShadow, while he stands there waiting. One of them wraps the broken chain around his hands. Then the Underground Citizens charged at DarkShadow and attacked him, but he swiftly maneuvered and blocked their strikes and fought back.

 

     Back at City Hall, Silver Knight continued to hover over everyone, while the security guards went to take the Underground Citizens into custody and Lydia checked on the Mayor.

 

Lydia:

Sir, are you ok?

 

Mayor:

Yes... thank you lieutenant.

 

     He said, as Lydia was helping him up from the ground, then Silver Knight landed next to them.

 

Silver Knight:

You two ok?

 

Mayor:

Yes, thank you

 

Lydia:

You came just in the nick of time.

 

Silver Knight:

Sorry I couldn't get here sooner, they had men outside with missile launchers.

 

Mayor:

it's just good that you came.

 

     They then heard noises and looked and saw a Underground Citizen resisting. As the Underground Citizens pushes back the security guard, then he grabs an EpiPen and injects himself. Everyone looked and saw as the Underground Citizen began to feel the effect of the injection.

 

Silver Knight:

Squire, what am I looking at?

 

     Silver Knight's visor screen began to scan the Underground Citizen.

 

Squire:

Scan read a build up in the muscle systems.

 

     After the effect of the injection is finished, the Underground Citizen looks at the guard and kicks him in the stomach, resulting in the guard to crash in the wall, he then grabbed and ripped a piece of the desk and tossed it towards the Mayor, Lydia and Silver Knight, but the Silver Knight was able to catch it, however the Underground Citizen punch through the desk hitting the Silver Knights head, causing him to fall to the ground. The other Citizens took the opportunity while the guards were distracted and inject themselves with their EpiPen's as well. They then use there enhanced strength, to toss, take down and snap the guards. The Silver Knight stands up, but the Underground Citizen grabs him, but he breaks free from his grip and fight back. As they fight, the Silver Knight blast him with a energy blast from his hand, pushing him back and crash into the desk. However the Silver Knight notices that he is getting back up with only a burn mark on his chest.

 

     Squire:

Sir, it seems that the serum has increased there durability in their skin.

 

Silver Knight:

Thank you for the update!

 

     Silver Knight then heard a scream and saw that Lydia and the Mayor were in danger. He tried to get to them but was jump by two other  Underground Citizens who got in his way. As the Silver Knight fought back against them, Lydia and The Mayor was were capture and as Lydia tried to fight back she could do nothing against their strength.

 

    Underground Citizen #6:

Before you die, my King wanted me to tell say this to you. "Albert Wilson says Farewell"

 

     He said to the Mayor, while he was being lifted by the collar. The Mayor eyes widened when he heard the name and Lydia saw it and became confused. As the Underground Citizens were about the kill them, The Silver Knight manage to disengage the ones he was fighting by activating his boot thrusters and headed towards the Mayor and Lydia, where he saved them both, by blasting the Underground Citizens in the face, causing them to release them and for Silver Knight to grab them. He then ram straight into the wall into the hallway. Silver Knight then let the Mayor and Lydia go and saw the Underground Citizens coming towards them.

 

Silver Knight:

Lieutenant! Get the Mayor out of here, I'll deal with them.

 

Lydia:

Right... Let's go sir!

 

     She said grabbing the Mayors arm and leaving, while Silver Knight held the Underground Citizens back by shooting energy lasers from his hands, but had little effect against there enhanced skin, only leaving burn marks. They continued pressing forward, till Silver Knight release the energy and fought them off. Silver Knight blocked and dodge there attacks, but there were too many of them, but his armor manage to protect him a bit, as well as give him the strength to face them. The Silver Knight then barrel rolled away and then gun barrels came from the side of his arms and he started firing multiple bullets at them, however the bullet weren't able tp pierce the skin deep enough and one of the Underground Citizens got close enough, grabbed his arms and kicked him in the chest, pushing him back and ripping out the gun barrels. Silver Knight quickly rose up and fought back against the oncoming Underground Citizens. A blade then came out from his wrist and he manage to kill two of the Undergrounds Citizens by slicing and stabbing vital areas but then one of them grabbed his arm and broke the blade off. Then Silver Knight grabbed the Underground Citizen and boot thruster, using the Underground Citizen as a battering ram, knocking down the other and smashing the one to the wall at the end of the hallway. The Silver Knight then looked and saw the others getting up and the stretched out his arm towards them and a small missile rocket popped out and fired at the other Underground Citizens, impaling one of them and then exploded killing the rest. The Silver Knight then turned to the last one, pinned to the wall and was punch by him knocking him back. The underground Citizen then grabbed the Silver Knight and started smashing him into the walls. The Silver Knight broke free by cutting him with his other wrist blade. The Silver Knight and Underground Citizen first stood there ground facing each other, then the Silver Knight made the first strike, but the Underground Citizen dodged it, as well as others and then grabbed the blade from an  oncoming strike, broke it and stabbed the Silver Knight in the shoulder plate. The Silver Knight and Underground continued to fight, landing blows against on another, until the Underground  Citizen pinned the Silver Knight to the wall and then started to squeeze the helmet, crushing it, causing the circuits to go haywire, Silver Knight tried to use his hands to break free.

 

Underground Citizen #6:

Lets see just what kind of wires your made of.

 

Silver Knight:

Squire... put all energy in... to..... Chest Cannon!!

 

     As the Underground Citizen continued to squeeze the Silver Knight's helmet. The Silver Knight then unleashed a powerful energy beam from his chest, that went straight through the Underground Citizen's chest killing him. As the Underground fell to the floor releasing Silver Knight, he too collapse from exhaustion.

 

Silver Knight:

Phew! Good work, Squire. 

 

Squire:

My pleasure!

 

Silver Knight:

So... how long till energy is restore?

 

Squire:

About 2 hours, sir.

 

Silver Knight:

Well... I could use a little breather right now anyway!

 

     He said as he then rested up.

 

     Meanwhile back at the station. The DarkShadow continues to fight against the Underground Citizens, he manage to kill two of them with his sword. One of them, then grabbed a desk, lifted it up and swung it at DarkShadow, but DarkShadow sliced it in half, then try to stabbed the Underground Citizen, but he blocked the sword  with the remaining piece of the desk, however the DarkShadow started to pushed the sword in deeper, but then he noticed Michael being lifted by the neck, by another Underground Citizen and another coming at him from behind. As the Underground Citizen coming from behind him, prepared to swing his fist, DarkShadow took out his sword from the desk and proceeded to turn and slice off the Underground Citizens arm, then tossed it at the one holding Michael, impaling him at the side of the headed, causing him to release Michael and fall to the floor dead. The Underground took his chance and smashed the remaining piece of the desk on the DarkShadow, who shielded his head with his arm, as the desk shattered, DarkShadow attacked the Underground Citizen, who fought back, but the one with the missing arm came up from behind and grabbed the DarkShadow and put him in a arm lock by the neck. As the one who was holding the DarkShadow squeeze tighter to suffocate him, the other relentlessly punch the DarkShadow. The DarkShadow the kicked the Underground Citizen in front of him knocking him back, then back head-butt one behind causing him to let go, he the turned to face the him, as he threw a punch, the DarkShadow black it, then armbar him then broke his arm, then thrust kicked his leg, breaking it, as the Underground Citizen kneeled down, the DarkShadow place his hands on his shoulders, jumped over him, facing back to back, grabbed him by the neck, lifted him up, then snapped his neck, killing him. As the DarkShadow, release the dead Underground Citizen, he turned back around and saw the last one getting up and taking out and putting on brass knuckles. The Underground Citizen then started to walk towards the DarkShadow and the two then engaged and fought. loud noises were made when the DarkShadow armored gloves clashed against the Underground Citizens brass knuckles. As the two continue to fight, Michael look around and saw a revolver hand gun. He picked it up and tried to aim at the Underground Citizen, but he was moving to much for Michael to get a lock on him. DarkShadow continue to fight the Underground Citizen, blocking his attacks and countering, but then The Underground Citizen block one of his punches, then reached and grabbed his collar and then started to punch the DarkShadow in the face relentlessly. The DarkShadow could not counter because he was in a daze dew to the repeated punches, but it gave Michael the chance he needed and shot the Underground Citizen in the arm, but the bullet had little affect dew to his enhanced skin, but distracted for the DarkShadow to grab the arm holding him then lift up and double kick the Underground Citizen, freeing himself. As the Underground Citizen was pushed back, he quickly got back up and charge at the DarkShadow. The DarkShadow standing there, his arm then started to channel Dark Energy around them, as the Underground Citizen then threw a punch, the DarkShadow countered with a punch of his own, as there fist clashed, the Underground Citizen's arm snapped, then DarkShadow low spin kicked him, tripping his feet, as the Underground Citizen fell, DarkShadow rose up and slammed his fist channeling Dark Energy on the Underground Citizen's head slamming him to the ground, killing him. Michael and the other officer saw the DarkShadow  rising after defeating the Underground Citizen, the DarkShadow looked back at them, then turned into Dark Smoke and vanished.

 

     In the aftermath Michael and the other officers are getting checked on by paramedics, outside the police station. Michael then saw Lydia walked up to him.

 

Michael:

Lydia are you ok!?

 

Lydia:

Yes. how about you?

 

Michael:

Cheated death a little longer but overall good. How's the Mayor?

 

Lydia:

He's safe at the Hospital getting looked over and under supervision.

 

Michael:

Good!

     

     Michael and Lydia then looked at the destruction of the police station and how many officers were injured or killed.

 

Michael:

This is only going to get worst! The Underground Citizens acquired something that makes them something more than a police officer can handle!

 

Lydia:

I know... we have to put a stop to this soon before things truly get out of hand!

 

Michael:

What more could get out of hand than this!

 

 

     The next day a school bus stopped and picked up a group of children. As the kids got on the driver closed the door and was about to drive off, when he heard a knock coming from the door and saw a kid standing there. The driver then opened the door and the kid got on.

 

Bus Driver:

You a new student?

    

     The driver asked the kid, but he turned and faced the other children and whispered.

 

Kid:

For the Underground King!

    

     Then the Bus exploded killing the driver as well as the students on it including the kid.
