The DarkShadow #6 An Arctic Christmas

     At the night, at a building called Nature Safeguard Industries (NSI) a Christmas party is going on with the employees.

     Meanwhile at a lab, a man is putting blue liquid in small medium size round shape devices. As he continued working a women came in from the door.

Women:

Brian, come on your missing the party.

 

Brian:

Be right out. I'm almost done here.

     She then walked towards him and stopped next to him and watched as he worked.

 

Women #1:

Can't believe you actually did it.

 

Brian:

We did it. These devices, filled with Arctic Chill Chemical, they will dispersed cold energy that will save the Arctic from Global Warming as well as the wildlife that live there. With these were going to save the world together.

 

Woman:

Together.

 

     The two stared at each other. Then 3 other guy barge in.

 

Guy #1:

Brian, Kathy, come on your wasting a good party by standing around here, let's go.

 

     The man said as he and the others nagged at Brian and Kathy out of the lab and headed to the party.

 

     At the Christmas party people were dancing to the Christmas music, having punch and snacks and a few party games, pin the tail, Belly Balloon Break, Opposites and Famous Lines. As the party continued, Brian went to grab some punch when a man wearing a military uniform walked up to him.

 

Military Man:

Dr. Brooks.

 

Brian:

General Hartman!?

 

     Brian said surprised and confused of him being here.

 

General Hartman:

Great party your having here, as well as great success in your work. I hear it's all ready.

 

Brian:

Yes. Thank you.

 

General Hartman:

But I think you can reach greater accomplishment if you agree on what we discuss, about your devices to be use for more Military use.

 

Brian:

Heh, heh. Oooooh, you army guys just don't take a hint do you. The answer we'll be always... NO.

 

     He said to the General, then attempted to leave, but the General grabbed his arm stopping him.

 

General Hartman:

Don't be stupid about this your devices could be powerful weapons out there on the field, and make you a wealthy man, if you just help us weaponized them.

 

     Brian got his arm release from the General's hand and looked straight at him.

 

Brian:

I created these devices to help the world, to help keep our planet intact, not to create weapon's that will damage it.

 

     As they argued Kathy came by.

 

Kathy:

What's going on?

 

     Brian and General Hartman then relaxed.

 

General Hartman:

Nothing Dr. Taylor, just congratulating Brian here for his good work, for all your good work, congratulation's.

 

Kathy:

Thank you so much, but really if it wasn't for Brian we wouldn't have made any achievement at all.

 

General Hartman:

Well he is a bright young man I'll tell you what. Merry Christmas Brian. Hope you have a cold one.

 

     He said to Brian then left. Kathy saw Brian looking discomfort then broke the tension.

 

Kathy:

Come on let's dance. Come on.

 

     She said to Brian as she dragged him to the dance floor and they started dancing together to the Christmas music (All I Want for Christmas).

 

     Hours later the party was over. Brian said goodbye to his friends at the parking lot and headed to his car. as he tried to find the keys to open his door, but couldn't find them. He then remember where they were.

 

     Brian went back to his lab where he saw his keys on his table and grabbed them. Just as he was heading to the door to leave a heard a noise. He turned and saw one of his devices activated. He walked towards it, as it beep faster and faster, continuously. The Device then started to go critical, Brian's eyes widen as he stepped back, then the device exploded releasing ice. The entire lab was covered in ice and Brian got caught in the explosion and was frozen as well. inside the ice Brian's eyes looked light blue.

 

Back at the present, December 23 2016

     Snow was falling and in a house two children were watching the snow fall from the window on a couch, then the same guy from the lab walked up behind them.

 

Guy #1:

Come on kids time for dinner.

 

Kid #1:

Look dad, snow is falling.

 

Guy#1:

Yep looks like it will be a White Christmas for New York.

 

     Just then the door bell rang.

 

Guy #1:

I'll get it honey. You two go get ready to eat.

 

     As the children left, he went to the door and opened it and a man covered in a grey hoodie was standing in front of him.

 

Guy #1:

Hello.

 

Hooded Man:

Good to see you again... Donald.

 

     The man said taking down his hoodie revealing himself to him as Brian, but his eyes were light blue, his skinned was dark blue and his hair was white.

 

 Donald:

Brian! I thought you died.

 

Brian:

I did... Ho Ho Ho!

 

     Brian said as he raised his arms and ice started to burst from his hands towards Donald and he screamed.

 

     Later on the police were at Donald's house after the incident. The inside of the house was completely covered in snow, Donald, his wife and kids were completely frozen in ice. Michael was at the scene investigating. Alan then walked up to him.

 

Alan:

So what are we looking at, NewBeing, or one of those Ice grenades, that the government has.

 

Michael:

Well all signs do put to a NewBeing, cause I can't find any trace of metal that points to a device.

 

Alan:

So this could b thee NewBeings Liberators, huh.

 

Michael:

I'm gonna take some of the ice to examine see what it could tell us, but I don't think we should come to any conclusions yet.

 

Alan:

Well you better find the answer quick, Captains already has his hands full with The Hellfire Gang, the arrest of Salamander, the incident across town, and the continued problems that Dark Demon keeps causing.

 

Michael:

Right, I'm on it.

 

     Hours later at the News Station Max and Stacy were reporting the incident that happened at the house.

 

Max:

Another bizarre ice incident her in New York, a local family killed by ice, there entire house completely covered.

 

Stacy:

This is the second time this has happen, the first being the death of a New York cable repairman, Carter. Rumors say that this is the work of the NewBeings Liberators.

 

Max:

The Liberators send us a video giving their statement.

Max:

So... what do you think Stace?

 

Stacy:

Well it has been shown that the NewBeings have only made moves on Most of the government an the Anti-NewBeings Group.

 

Max:

Well personally I think they should still be in question and all NewBeings should be watched over.

 

     Meanwhile at the Station, Alan visited Michael at the SCI lab, where he saw him examining the ice.

 

Alan:

Well did you find anything?

 

     Michael turned and faced Alan.

 

Michael:

This wasn't a NewBeing.

 

Alan:

How do you figure.

 

Michael:

Cause I found this type of energy in the ice. I've made a graph and it is the same type of energy that the government uses in their ACG's (Arctic Chill Grenades).

 

     At that moment a officer came in with some folders.

 

Officer #1:

Hey... we found something interesting you might like to hear. Our two victim's, they both used to work at NSI a year ago.

 

Alan:

NSI? And the energy in the ice is the same of what the government uses right.

 

     Alan said, asking Michael.

 

Michael:

Yeah.

 

Alan:

I remember around a year ago that there was an incident at an NSI lab involving an ice explosion. The government completely walked in and took over the case.

 

Michael:

I don't get it, isn't NSI a Environment Protection agency, why would they make weapons for the government.

 

Alan:

I don't know... are two victims worked together right who else worked with them.

 

Officer #1:

Uh... Three others.

 

Alan:

Alright let's go talk to them see what they know.

 

Officer #1:

Actually you can only talk to two. The last one got caught in that ice explosion and died.

 

Alan:

That's right. Well who are the other two.

 

Officer #1:

Kathy Heights and... oh... Ron Numb.

 

Alan:

O geez, Ron Numb.

 

Michael:

What's wrong, who is he.

 

Alan:

He's one of the bookkeepers for the Hellfire, tacking their money, where it goes and who owes is what he does.

 

     Later that night, a man came rushing out of a back alley door and started running. He continued to ran until he was punched in the face and fell to the ground. As he looked to see who was in front of him, he saw the DarkShadow. The DarkShadow picked the man up and pinned him to the wall.

 

DarkShadow:

I went back to where your boss was staying, no one around and the place was completely empty. Since I have a score to settle with him and since I can't ask that worm Salamander for information, I'm gonna need to know where the other two commanders are, particularly Blaze Samurai, he owes me an arm.

 

     DarkShadow said looking at his right arm, reminded that his original arm was cut off by Blaze Samurai.

 

Man #1:

Look I can't tell you that, I'll be killed. Ever since Salamander blabbed, they've been coming down hard on the rest of us.

 

     DarkShadow ignored what he said, he then proceeded to brake one of his fingers. The man screamed from the pain.

 

DarkShadow:

If you don't tell me anything your gonna die, if you do I might let you live.

 

     DarkShadow said, warning him as he broke another finger.

 

Voice:

I'm sorry, but the one to kill him will be me.

 

     A voice spoke, DarkShadow turned and saw Brian, but was unfazed by his appearance.

 

DarkShadow:

Who the hell are you.

 

     Brian walked towards him and the man, then began to talk.

 

Brian:

Sorry but hell's a bit to warm for me, I... I like things cold... like the Arctic. I had once created an energy that would save the Arctic, but now... that same energy is what is keeping me alive. Call me Arctic Chill.

 

DarkShadow:

I see, well... get lost... I'm working.

 

     He said to Arctic Chill, as he turned and faced the man again.

 

Arctic Chill:

I'm sorry again, but if anyone is going to kill that man, it will be me.

 

     DarkShadow released the man, walked a few steps back and faced Arctic Chill. The man looked and his eyes widened from seeing Arctic Chill.

 

Man #1:

Br-Brian.

 

Arctic Chill:

Hello Ron, but it's Arctic Chill now, weren't you listening.

 

Ron:

But I thought you were dead.

 

Arctic Chill:

You weren't the only one who thought that... but I am dead, my heart doesn't beat, I have no pulse, I don't even breath.

 

Ron:

How did this happen to you.

 

Arctic Chill:

That is exactly what I want to ask you.

 

DarkShadow:

Sorry, but that'll have to wait cause I need~

 

     Just as the DarkShadow was talking, Arctic Chill froze him in ice.

 

Arctic Chill:

You need to Chill and stand still for a minute, heh, heh, heh, heh.

 

Ron:

O MY GOD! You just froze the DarkShadow.

 

     Ron said shock on what he just saw happened.

 

Arctic Chill:

Oh, so that's who he is, I've heard of him... Hmm, unimpressed.

 

     Arctic Chill then grabbed Ron and pinned him to the wall as well and placed his hand on his forehead.

 

Arctic Chill:

Now tell me who did this to me.

 

     He asked Ron as he started to freeze his head.

 

Ron:

Wh-what do you mean?

 

Arctic Chill:

Don't lie. There was no way my device malfunctioned... no, no, no... they were sabotage, now tell me... WHO!

 

     He demanded as he continued to freeze Ron's head. Ron began to scream from being frozen.

 

Ron:

Aaaaaah, I swear I don't know... after the incident, Hartman came and completely denied us any knowledge on what happen and made sure we never spoke about it. Aaaah, I swear, that's All I know, please Brian.

 

     For a moment Arctic Chill began to stop.

 

Arctic Chill:

I see... thank you, but still... better not take chances.

 

     Arctic Chill then froze Ron's head completely ice and shattered it by ramming it on the wall. At that moment DarkShadow got himself out of the ice with his dark powers. Arctic Chill looked and was amazed.

 

Arctic Chill:

Well, well, well, impressive. Your tougher than you look.

 

DarkShadow:

You've interfered with my work, froze me, killed the man I needed answers from and going to kill myself and... you froze me in ice. You made a wrong move.

 

Arctic Chill:

Oh... Did I.

 

     Arctic Chill then started blasting DarkShadow with ice from his hands, but the DarkShadow dodge the oncoming ice and made his way towards Arctic Chill. Once DarkShadow was close enough he punched Arctic Chill in the face then grabbed him by the back of his colour and twirled him towards and crashing into a wall and fell to the floor. Arctic Chill got up quickly and faced DarkShadow and didn't have a scratch on him.

 

Arctic Chill:

The Energy that I created, has made my body into solid ice and practically unbreakable.

 

     Arctic Chill then march towards DarkShadow and punch him in the chest, sending him flying and crashing to a wall.

 

Arctic Chill:

And increased my strength.

 

     Arctic Chill went to attack DarkShadow again, but he blocked and grabbed his punch. DarkShadow then rised up, gripping Arctic Chills fist tightly.  

 

DarkShadow:

Your not the only one who's strong.

 

     DarkShadow then grabbed him, lifted him up, flipped him over in the air and smashed him to the wall and dropped him. As he was about to punched Arctic Chill again he ice last towards DarkShadow, but the DarkShadow dodged. Arctic Chill got up and attack DarkShadow, as the two fought Alan and Michael who came to find Ron enter from the door. They were shock to see Arctic Chill, but they were more shock to see the DarkShadow.

 

Michael:

It's him the Dark Demon.

 

     Alan then grabbed his gun and aimed at DarkShadow and Arctic Chill.

 

Alan:

Okay, both of you freeze and hands behind your head!

 

     As DarkShadow looked towards them, Arctic Chill used the moment and created a sharp icicle.

 

Arctic Chill:

Sorry I can't freeze anymore than I already have.

 

     Arctic Chill then took the icicle and stabbed DarkShadow at the back of his leg. DarkShadow got on his knee, while Alan started firing at Arctic Chill which had no impact on his skin. Arctic Chill then created a wall of ice between the two buildings, separating himself from DarkShadow and the police and made his escape. Alan couldn't go after Arctic Chill, he instead went towards the DarkShadow, gun in hand and aimed right at him. As Alan walked closer to the DarkShadow, he took out his handcuffs preparing to arrest him. Then as Alan was close enough the DarkShadow moved quickly disarmed Alan of his gun, grabbed the handcuffs and cuffed Alan. Michael in the instant of what happen, was grabbing his gun, but the DarkShadow noticed and grabbed Alan's gun and threw it at Michael hitting his face. The DarkShadow pulled out the icicle stuck in his leg, then leaped between the buildings to the roof and turned into the Dark Smoke and disappeared. Michael who saw what happened couldn't believe his eyes as he continued looking up.

 

Alan:

Hey... get me out of this already.

 

Michael:

Oh, sorry.

 

     Michael said coming to his senses and went to help Alan.

 

     DarkShadow reappeared in a new alley, he punched the wall frustrated over the events that have happened. He then brushed off his jacket and went out to the street sidewalk, at that moment it began to snow. The DarkShadow looked up and saw the snow falling, in that moment a father and daughter walked towards him.

 

Daughter:

Daddy, are we going to see the tree lighting at the Rockefeller Center tomorrow night.

 

Dad:

Of course, we wouldn't miss for anything.

 

     As the two walked passed him, DarkShadow looked towards the two as they walked away, then walked in the opposite direction.

 

Next Morning, December 24

     At the abandoned theatre, the DarkShadow was resting, preparing to go back out when he heard something on the television, showing Captain Trevor who is speaking to the press, along with Michael and Alan in the background.

 

Captain Trevor:

We have not yet ID the assailant responsible for the current murders, however we have reason to believe that he might be allied with the Dark Demon, upon which I like to give you his true identity known as the DarkShadow. We will bring him down along with his ally, this I promise you, they will face the judgement of the law!.

 

     The DarkShadow turned of the TV and starred at the blank screen.

 

     Back at the press conference, Captain Trevor was leaving, but was approached by Michael.

 

Michael:





Um sir, didn't you read our report, the assailant attack the DarkShadow.

 

Captain Trevor:

We can't rule out that it could've been a trick. To make you think that they're not working together.

 

Michael:

Oh... wait, how do you know the Dark Demon is called the DarkShadow.

 

Captain Trevor:

Salamander... he'll say anything you want if it helps him.

 

Michael:

I see.

 

     Captain Trevor then continued walking away with Michael watching him.

 

     At the police station at night, Michael is working at his lab alone, no one else around. He began to hear noises, look to see what they were but nothing, he then went back to his work. Then he is jumped by the DarkShadow, who arm locks him and pins him to the table.

 

Michael:

Y-y-you, what... do you...want?

 

DarkShadow:

I hate it when people interfere with my work, first it was that blue skin ice freak, and then two dumbass cops.

 

Michael:

Wait... isn't he your ally?

 

     DarkShadow started to twist Michaels arm, hurting him.

 

DarkShadow:

I work alone.

 

Michael:

Then why were you two at the same place.

 

DarkShadow:

We both wanted information from the same guy. I wanted to know the whereabouts of his boss, he wanted to know of what happened to him.

 

Michael:

What do you mean?

 

DarkShadow:

I don't know, the two seemed to have history, knew his name... Brian.

 

Michael:

Brian... Brian Brooks!

 

DarkShadow:

You know something?

 

Michael:

Let me go and I'll tell you.

 

     DarkShadow was hesitant, but let Michael go. Michael got up and turned to face the DarkShadow and was stunned by his appearance.

 

DarkShadow:

Talk!

 

    Michael then came back to his senses and started to explain what he knew.

 

Michael:

Dr. Brian Brooks, he was a scientist for NSI, along with Ron, Cater and Donald. They were working on some kind of freezing device to save the Arctic, but there was an explosion, Dr. Brooks got caught in it and was presumed dead. Terrible accident.

 

DarkShadow:

He said it wasn't an accident, that someone sabotage his device, for a someone called Hartman.

 

     Michael then went to his computer and did some research. After a little while he found something.

 

Michael:

General Hartman, he lead the investigation of the incident, and after, he took all the research and used it to create weapons.

 

DarkShadow:

Then that is who he will be going after next. Where is he?

 

     Michael looked up on where the General will be.

 

Michael:

According to this he is attending the MIDAS Corporations Christmas Party.

 

     DarkShadow then proceeded to leave, with Michael watching.

 

Michael:

Are you going to go save him?

 

     The DarkShadow then stopped and turned to face Michael.

 

DarkShadow:

I could care less about that General, he's just a foolish war monger, I'm going after Arctic Chill, he interfered with me, froze me and stabbed me with an icicle, so I'm gonna break him.

 

     Just as the DarkShadow was proceeding to leave again, he looked around the room, then back at Michael.

 

DarkShadow:

You a scientist?

 

Michael:

Y-yes, SCI division.

 

     DarkShadow walked towards him and reached towards his pocket. Michael was a bit worried of what he was getting. DarkShadow then took out the piece of paper the he grabbed from Ifrit's former base, a bit burned but still readable. He handed it to Michael, and he looked at the equation and elements written on it.

 

Michael:

What is this?

 

DarkShadow:

Don't know, but it has something to do with the Hellfire Gangs plans. Look into it, see what this means.

 

Michael:

How did you get this.

 

DarkShadow:

From Ifrit.

 

Michael:

Who?

 

DarkShadow:

The Leader of the Hellfire Gang.

 

     Michael then lifted up from his chair, shock of what he heard.

 

Michael:

How did you get their bosses name?

 

DarkShadow:

From Salamander, he made it really difficult though.

 

 

     DarkShadow then turned into dark smoke and disappeared leaving Michael alone.

 

     At a MIDAS building, guest are enjoying the Christmas party, having food, champagne and starting conversations. At the party General Hartman is standing around with a glass of champagne in his hand when a women walked up to him.

 

Women #2:

Are you enjoying the party.

 

General Hartman:

Oh yes.

 

Women #2:

Thank goodness, again I'm terribly sorry that Mr. Midas could not greet you today, but he is busy with business on the other side of the world.

 

General Hartman:

It's quite alright, but I do hope to speak with him, in working on future businesses between him and the Government.

 

Women #2:

I'll see to it that it happens.

 

General Hartman:

Thank you, at least I get to be accompanied by a beautiful women.

 

     The two laugh for a moment, then General Hartman notice something in his glass, the liquid started to turn to ice. General Hartman examine of what happen to his glass, then he and other guess looked at the window, as powerful snow started crashing into it. They all started to move back, away from the windows as the glass started to crack. Then at that moment a huge ice storm burst through the window, freezing many in ice and others impaled by large icicles. General Hartman who fell to the ground saw a figure coming from the storm, it was Brian (Arctic Chill), the General was shock to see him alive. Arctic Chill continued walking and stopped right in front of the General.

 

General Hartman:

Dr. Brooks... Brian, your alive.

 

     Arctic Chill kneeled down and his face was next to his.

 

Arctic Chill:

Yes, your little attempt to kill me failed.

 

General Hartman:

What~

 

     Arctic Chill then instantly back hand hit him in the face sending General Hartman flying and falling to the ground. Arctic Chill then stood up and walked towards the General.

 

Arctic Chill:

Don't try to fool me, I know you had someone sabotage my device, so it would kill me and you can seize my work and turn it into a weapon!

 

General Hartman:

I don't know what your talking about, what happened was a accident.

 

     The General was saying as he stood up, denying his accusations against him. Arctic Chill then grabbed him by the colour and also grabbed his left hand and it started to turn blue, as Arctic Chill began to freeze him.

 

Arctic Chill:

I will freeze you slowly, so you can feel your veins, your bones, and your blood, becoming ice chill, as you slowly die. I already dealt with Carter, Donald and Ron, they all denied it, but I couldn't take chances. Now your gonna tell me who it was, if not them, then who, who did you pay off in the company to ruin my life.

 

     Arctic Chill asked the General, as the freezing went up to his elbow.

 

General Hartman:

Hmp. You forgot one other.

 

     The General said, Arctic Chill was quiet not thinking of the person the General was talking about.

 

Arctic Chill:

No, no... your lying... she would never do that, I know her.

 

General Hartman:

You didn't know her one bit.

 

      General Hartman told him, Arctic Chill was angry, let go of his left hand and created a icicle attempting to stab him. Just as Arctic Chill was about to impale General Hartman, the DarkShadow tackled him, forcing him to let go of the Generals colour. The two quickly rised up and faced each other.

 

Arctic Chill:

You... what are you doing here?

 

DarkShadow:

I'm here for you.

 

Arctic Chill:

Why?

 

DarkShadow:

For interfering with my work and for freezing me in ice.

 

Arctic Chill:

Well, your welcome to try, but again. I cant be killed. I'm living ice. Ice that cannot be break!

 

DarkShadow:

We'll see about that!

 

     The DarkShadow then swung out his chain and attacked Arctic Chill, but he dodge and countered with ice blast, but he dodge as well. As the DarkShadow dodge the ice blast and continued to swing his chain at Arctic Chill, the chain grabbed a hold of his neck. DarkShadow started to pull the chain, in an attempt to rip off his head, but no affect. Arctic Chill didn't feel anything as the chain was being pulled around his neck, he then grabbed the chain with his hands, freeze and shattered it. DarkShadow then let go of his chain and charged at him and punch Arctic Chill in the face, then kicked him by the side, but Arctic Chill grabbed and hold his leg, DarkShadow then jumped in the air and kicked him in the face with his remaining leg. the two fell, the DarkShadow landed safely and got back up quickly, Arctic Chill hit the ground. As Arctic Chill was getting back up, the DarkShadow was about to attack him again, but Arctic Chill started to create a storm, blinding him, giving Arctic Chill the chance to escape. Once the storm was gone, DarkShadow looked around, but Arctic Chill was nowhere. DarkShadow then went and stop right next to the General.

 

DarkShadow:

Where did he go.

 

General Hartman:

You, I know you. Your the DarkShadow. We know about many of your activities, the ones before New York. You have quite a sheet of deaths all over the world.

 

      DarkShadow was silent, then smash his frozen hand and part of his arm. As the General screamed and panicked, DarkShadow grabbed him by the mouth, shutting him up and lifted him up in the air.

 

DarkShadow:

If you know about them, then you know what I'm capable of. Despite what you went through with him, I can make it much worse. Now tell me... where.. did.. he.. go!

 

     Later on that night, Kathy is entering through a door onto her house.

 

Kathy:

I'm home.

 

     She said, Kathy then started walking towards the living room, where she saw the back of a head of a man sitting on a chair. She then walked towards him and stop next to him.

 

Kathy:

So... ready for me to give you... your Christmas present.

 

     Kathy said, as she started to rub his shoulder, but felt something off.

 

Kathy:

Oh, your shoulder are really stiff. Actually you feel really cold, are you alright!

 

     Kathy was saying as she went to face him. She then started to panic as she saw the man completely blue (Frozen), she started to walk away from him, then she bump into something behind her. She turned and saw Arctic Chill.

 

Kathy:

Br-Brian, your alive. I thought you died.

 

Arctic Chill:

Yes, yes, you, the others, a lot of people thought I was dead, which I kind of am, but let's just skip all that stuff.

 

Kathy:

But I don't understand, why are you here, did you do this.

 

      She asked him, and looked towards her boyfriend.

 

Arctic Chill:

Yes, I froze him, just like I froze, Carter, Donald and Ron.

 

     Kathy looked at him shock of what he said.

 

Kathy:

You killed them... why!.

 

Arctic Chill:

Because one of them betrayed me, sabotage my device, so Hartman could sees control of my research. I asked them all, but they denied any involvement, sadly I couldn't take the chance if they were lying to me, so I had to kill them. Then I had a little chat with Hartman... who told me then one who wronged me was... you.

 

      He said, looked right in the eyes at Kathy, who was shaking.

 

Kathy:

What... you can't believe that, right Brian... I loved you!

 

      She said to Arctic Chill, denying the accusations and confessing to him.

 

Arctic Chill:

Of course... I know you would never do it. You and I wanted the same thing... too save the Arctic. And I loved you too.

 

     Arctic Chill said to her, believeing her, and confessing to her as well.

 

Kathy:

Yes. My god, look what's happened to you. If only you didn't go back for your keys.

 

     She said to him, looking at his blue skin, white air and his light blue eyes. Arctic Chill then began to pondered on something, he looked a bit confused, then looked back at Kathy.

 

Arctic Chill:

How did you know I forgot my keys.

 

     He said to her, she then hesitated for a second.

 

Kathy:

I-I-I-I saw you leave without them as you headed to the door.

 

     She said, Arctic Chill then began to look more serious and angry.

 

Arctic Chill:

No... you were gone from the lab, long before I followed you and the others, so there was no way you saw that I left my keys.

 

     Kathy began to sweat and step back from him, as he was stepping closer to her. Arctic Chill saw Kathy look more and more nervous, and saw that her eyes were not looking at him, and at that moment his eyes widened from realization.

 

Arctic Chill:

My god, it's true. You did it, you sabotage my device, you cause the explosion, you did this to me, didn't you... DIDN'T YOU!!

 

     Arctic Chill yelled right at her.

 

Kathy:

YES I DID!

 

      She confess to everything and Arctic Chill was shock from it.

 

Arctic Chill:

But why... we wanted to save the world together, save nature.

 

Kathy:

Ha, the world, nature, I only got into all that because of my parents, they were huge environmentalist, it was all they ever cared about, as for me I was never given a pampered life, never given the things I've always wanted, never got to go to any fun places that kids wanted to go. NO, for them it was all about nature, they force me to be a environmentalist scientist so I could save the world. I just went along for it all, I could care less. Then when the General came, and offer all that money, I knew it was the chance to have the life I always wanted, that I deserved to have. But you, you were in the way so I had to ruin you, I didn't expect this to happen, but you were just too much of a fool to see what was really important... Money.

 

     After confessing all that she did and giving her reasons why, Arctic Chill just starred blankly at her.

 

Arctic Chill:

I created my device to save the Arctic, but thank to you they've been turned into weapons and now they Arctic is doomed. So... so, I will create and turn New York, into the new Arctic. as for you... Merry Christmas.

 

Kathy:

Brian.

 

     At that moment Arctic Chill grabbed her head with both his hands.

 

Arctic Chill:

My name is... Arctic Chill. King of the New Arctic.

 

     He said to her, then kissed her on the lips, while also freezing her, killing her. He then let her fall to the floor and she shattered. Arctic Chill then created a giant blast, destroying the house and making him be outside. He then started to ice blast the ground, turning it into ice and expanding, he also ice blast the clouds, creating an ice storm. As he continued turning New York into his New Arctic, he was hit by a dark energy blast and fell. Arctic Chill recovered back up quickly and looked and saw the DarkShadow.

 

Arctic Chill:

You don't know when to quit do you.

 

DarkShadow:

I never quit!

 

Arctic Chill:

You can't stop me, you can't break me, and you can't kill me. I will turn this city into the New Arctic and then I will create a NEW ICE AGE!!!

 

DarkShadow:

Do you know what's colder then ice... Darkness!

 

     The two starred at each other, then Arctic Chill then ice blast and the DarkShadow, Dark energy blast at one another. There blast collided with each other, for a while it seemed they were evenly matched, but soon it seemed Arctic Chill began to have the upper hand. However the DarkShadow the conjured more dark energy into his blast and over power Arctic Chill, hitting him with a great amount of dark energy. DarkShadow then teleported next to him and tacked him into the ground and started to punch him in the left side of his face with his right fist. DarkShadow kept punching, and punching Arctic Chill without rest, then the left side of his face began to crack, DarkShadow channeled dark energy into his hand and grabbed Arctic Chill's face, burning him in a way, soon his left eye gone and a hand mark was place on him. Arctic Chill was unconscious, the DarkShadow stood up and heard police sirens coming by and he disappeared, leaving Arctic Chill to the police.

 

     Later that night, people started gathering at the Rockefeller Center, for the tree lighting. The tree lit and everyone clapped and cheered as Christmas music played "Have yourself a merry little Christmas".

 

      On the roof of a distant building, the DarkShadow was watching the tree lighting. He then looked up to the sky as snow started to fall, then back at the tree.

 

DarkShadow:

Merry Christmas.

 

     He said as he continued watching the tree lighting.
