The DarkShadow #8: Demon vs Shark

     After Salamanders escape, the death of Captain Connors and Captain Trevor still hospitalize, unbeknownst to anyone of his true identity as the Red Bishop of the Hellfire Gang and Ifrit's plan beginning to unfold. The DarkShadow after learning of Salamanders escape becomes annoyed.

    At a warehouse, gunfire is happening inside. The sounds of gunshots continue, then a man comes through a window, beaten, covered in glass, dead. Inside the DarkShadow is attacking the men inside mercilessly. The men landed gunshots on him but no effect, the DarkShadow empowered his chain with dark energy and swung it around the room, wrapping around one man's neck and detaching it from his body, and at another man around his waist, tearing him in half. Another man ran towards DarkShadow with a machete, but he dodge his strike, grabbed and broke his arm, took the machete, chopped his head off and threw it, piercing onto a man's stomach. DarkShadow notice 3 men trying to escape and turned into dark smoke, that went towards them and reforming  above them in the air and stomped one of them in the face that pushed him down hitting his head on the floor hard. the other two attacked DarkShadow, but he blocked there attacks and countered, broke one's arm and the other's leg. One of them grabbed a knife, but DarkShadow noticed grabbed the hand wielding the knife and impaled the man at the side of the head, then took the knife and slit the last one's throat. The DarkShadow continued killing the remaining men without mercy until there was only one. The last man was cornered and standing, back against the wall, he saw the DarkShadow coming towards him. He took his handgun and started firing rounds at the DarkShadow, hitting him a few times but no effect, the DarkShadow powers healing him from the bullets and continued walking towards the man. The man continued firing at him until his gun was empty, so he then threw the gun at him, but the DarkShadow caught the gun and threw it back at the man, hitting him in the mouth, breaking his teeth and puncturing his lip causing it to bleed. As the man hold his mouth in pain the DarkShadow was standing right in front of him and grabbed the man by the neck and pinned him to the wall and started to squeeze.

Man #1:

P-please, I'll tell you anything.

 

DarkShadow:

Yes you will and I'm gonna make sure you do.

 

     DarkShadow then raised his hand and threw a fist right at the man.

     Later in the morning, The police were investigating the warehouse with Michael at the scene examining the remains from the bodies. Then two officers came up to him.

 

Officer #1:

Hey Michael... So can we assume on who responsible for this.

 

Michael:

Yup, the DarkShadow. And every body here are members of the Hellfire Gang, this is there warehouse.

 

Officer #2:

Jesus, does he have any morals at all.

 

Michael:

Well judging from all this, no.

 

Officer #1:

Well what's in this warehouse exactly.

 

Michael:

Most of the crates contain high grade weapons, but that section over there has chemicals in them.  Some are flammable chemicals and well as flame retardant ones as well.

 

Officer #1:

My god, what's all this stuff doing here.

 

Michael:

I don't know, I think the Hellfire Gang is planning something big.

 

     Soon later Michael was leaving the warehouse to head back to the station. As he is near his car, he is stop by a man. Michael turns and sees David Thompson in front of him.

 

David:

Your Michael Reed CSI division of the NYPD, correct. My names David Thompson.

 

Michael:

Hello.

 

David:

First I want to say sorry, for the lost of Detective Alan. He was a good man.

 

Michael:

... Thank you, did you know him?

 

David:

Yes... we both helped each other in a few related cases we were following and became good friends.

 

Michael:

Yeah, he always mentioned this dumbass reporter that kept on getting into trouble and he got dragged along in the mess.

 

David:

Heh-heh. Yeah I bet he would say that.

 

     The two were silent for a moment then David spoke again.

 

David:

So I didn't come to you, for a heart to heart talk, I'm hoping you can give me some insight on what happened here.

 

Michael:

Well I can't go into too much detail, but we can confirm that the DarkShadow was involved here and that's pretty much all I can say at the moment.

 

David:

Could his involvement have anything to do with the escape of Salamander, he was originally the ones who brought him in.

 

Michael:

That remains unclear at the moment.

 

David:

Alright, can I ask on how the condition of Captain Trevor is as well as his safety. With all other candidates dead, his life could be more at stake now.

 

Michael:

Don't worry, Captain Trevor safety is being taken as a top priority, and as for his condition I'm afraid I don't really know, but I do know he'll pull through. This city needs him to.

 

     Michael then got into his car and drove off as David watched.

 

     Later that night at White Shark's club, people were standing outside waiting to get in with a bouncer at the entrance holding a clip board. Then a man wearing a black hooded coat walked up to the entrance but was stopped by the bouncer.

 

Bouncer:



 Sorry man, I don't think your on the list.

 

     The man in the black coat looked to the bouncer. The bouncer's eyes widened as he realize the man was the DarkShadow.

 

Bouncer:

Ooooh, Sh*t.

 

     The DarkShadow then grabbed the pen on the clip board and jabbed it in the bouncer's neck. The bouncer was gagging and struggled as blood started coming out of his mouth. The DarkShadow then took his spare hand and palm hit the pen pushing it deeper in the bouncer's neck killing him. The bouncer fell to the floor dead, the DarkShadow looked at the people standing and saw them scattered and then entered the club.

 

     Inside the club the DarkShadow looked around, saw many types of blue lights flashing, people dancing, heavy metal music playing, and a wall aquarium. As DarkShadow walked further into the club he was approached by two men who had there hands ready to take out there guns. Before they had the chance to take out there guns, DarkShadow attacked them, killing them both and taking one's gun and started firing three rounds in the ceiling. The music then stopped playing and the guest looked and saw the DarkShadow who dropped the gun and looked back at them.

DarkShadow:

Get Out!

 

     Soon all of the guest started to run pass the DarkShadow and leave through the door. Once they were all gone, the DarkShadow noticed stairs leading up and started heading towards them. As walked through the show floor he noticed a four more guards with  expandable batons, three more with Brass knuckles and three Bartenders with knives. They soon walked towards DarkShadow and two of them attacks, but the DarkShadow blocks there attacks and counters. He knocks down one of them and kills the other by punching him multiple times in the stomach and punching hard in the chest at the heart, causing blood to come out of his mouth and falling. Soon the others reached and charge at the DarkShadow, he dodge there attacks and counter against them. One with the brass knuckles swung his fist right at DarkShadow and he counter with his own fist, causing the brass knuckle to break as well as his hand, then one of the bartenders plunge his knife at the DarkShadow, but he dodge, broke the his arm, causing him to drop the knife and the DarkShadow grabbed the knife, killed the bar tender and the guard. Armed with a knife the rest continued the attack, the DarkShadow dodge their attacks and killed two others with the knife, cut a guard's arm wielding baton and took it, then slit his neck and threw the knife at another bartender impaling him in the head. DarkShadow then took another guards baton, and started beating on the remaining two guards and last bartender. Once they were taken down he dropped the baton's and headed to the stairs. As he made his to the stairs he saw two more guards with guns coming down, DarkShadow reached out his chain at one of them grabbing his neck and pulled him over the railing, falling into tables and attacked the other one, disarming him of his gun, breaking his arm, hand chop him by the neck, then broke his left leg and smashed his head to the railing, then proceeded further to the upstairs.

     He then enters a room and sees a man at the other side. DarkShadow was about to make his way towards the man, but he is tackled lifted up and thrown. DarkShadow fell to the floor but got back up and looked to see a heavy weight fighter in front of him. The heavy weight fighter started walking towards DarkShadow and attacked. He threw a few punches but the DarkShadow dodge and blocked them and counter hit him. The heavy weight fighter then grabbed a chair and smashed it on the DarkShadow who block with his arms, then the heavy weight fighter started to have the upper hand by continuously attacking DarkShadow with his fist. As the heavy weight fighter threw another punch, DarkShadow grabbed his right arm and punctured his elbow, then punctured his shoulder, then spinned and back hammer elbow his head. The heavy weight started to feel dizzy and the DarkShadow grabbed him by the neck and lift him up. DarkShadow looked and saw a tank of electric eels and then threw the heavy weight fighter towards the tank, crashing into it, water started pouring out and the eels started electrocuting the heavy weight fighter. DarkShadow soon notice the other man trying to escape and reached out his chain and tangled the man by the neck and started to make his way towards him till he was then standing right in front of him.

 

DarkShadow:



 I was told that White Shark was in possession of Salamander, where is he.

Man #2:

W-with, White Sh-Shark.

 

DarkShadow:

Where is White Shark!

 

     He said as he gripped his chain, squeezing the man's neck tighter.

 

Man #2:

Wait, w-wait, I'll tell you. He's at his Aq- aquarium.

 

     DarkShadow then loosen his chain around the man's neck and then proceeded to leave, but his chain was still around the man's neck.

 

Man#2:

Hey I told you what you wanted to know, now get this chain off me asshole.

 

     DarkShadow then pulled his chain hard, ripping the man's head off and retracted it back around his arm and left.

 

     A few hours later, DarkShadow made it to the aquarium where White Shark was hiding out. He started searching through the areas, avoiding any guards. As he made his way to the deeper levels, he discovered men packing drugs, as he watched them he saw a man rolling a cart of blood soak meat to the elevator and made his way up, DarkShadow followed. He followed to the man to the outside pool in the Sharks habitat and saw him throwing meat to the sharks. DarkShadow sneak up behind him and arm locked him by the neck.

 

DarkShadow:

Your gonna tell me where White Shark is or I'm gonna feed these sharks something that's more alive. Now where is he?

 

Man #3:

Taking a swim.

 

     Soon White Shark popped out from the pool behind him and attacked DarkShadow into the pool along with the man. As White Shark dragged DarkShadow deeper into the pool, then man tried to get out but was attacked and eaten by the other sharks. White Shark dragged DarkShadow all the way down to the bottom floor and pinned him with his hand, then started pounding DarkShadow with his other hand. DarkShadow soon manage to break free and pushed White Shark back by kicking him with both his legs and then attempted to rise up to the surface, but White Shark grabbed his leg and smashed him to the floor. DarkShadow started to fatigue but shook it off and wrapped his chain around White Sharks mouth. White Shark proceeded to swim through the water the water with incredible speed, dragging DarkShadow with him, attempting to collide DarkShadow with other sharks in the pool. As was continuing being dragged, he attempted to get closer, and as he got closer White Shark noticed and stopped as he turned and grabbed DarkShadow. Once White Shark manage to grab DarkShadow, he broke the chain, than tackled and bite down on the DarkShadow's right side with his teeth. As White Shark continue biting down on DarkShadow, DarkShadow started punching on White Shark to get free. White Shark then pinned him down to the floor near the from window. White Shark hold him down and continue biting puncturing his armor and black blood coming out. The other sharks smelling the blood started to make their way to them. DarkShadow running close out of breath conjured Dark Energy around his left fist and hit the frame window, as cracks started to be created and water going through them, the window shattered, White Shark released DarkShadow as they were both pulled out from the pull through the window and entered a hallway. As water continued spreading through the hallway till the pool was empty and the sharks splash, DarkShadow rised up, placed his hand on his wound as they began to heal, he then notice White Shark rising and killing one of the shark from the pool by eating a piece of it.

 

White Shark:

Gotta admit, your as tough as they say. I love it when my meal has a little fight in them.

 

DarkShadow:

I didn't come here for you... Where's Salamander.

 

White Shark:

Not for me, you've been messing with my operations for months now.

 

DarkShadow:

Your dealings were with the Hellfire Gang, with Ifrit, and I needed information. Your group doesn't truly interest me at the moment.

 

White Shark:

What... I've lost, women, men, drugs, money, because of you, so I wanted to bring you to me so I can kill you personally and you say I'm not of any interest.

 

DarkShadow:

Yes. Now tell me where is Salamander?

 

     White Shark stared with anger, then smiled.

 

White Shark:

I had him for dinner last night.

 

DarkShadow:

.... I was planning to come after you after killing Ifrit, but I guess I'll come for you now.

 

     DarkShadow and White Shark stared at each other, then DarkShadow turned into smoke and went towards White Shark, then reformed above him and air kicked him in the head, and then landed on the ground and punched White Shark multiple times in the chest. White Shark then blocked DarkShadow punch then hammer fist attack DarkShadow, but he dodge his attacks. As the two continued to fight, White Shark grabbed one of the sharks from the pool and started swinging it at DarkShadow, but Dark Shadow manage to dodge his swings, then White Shark threw the shark at DarkShadow but he slide dodge it and grabbed a piece of a shard window, however White Shark grabbed DarkShadow and bite him on his left shoulder. As White Shark continued to chomp on DarkShadow, but he took the shard he grabbed and stabbed White Shark in the eye. White Shark released him, but he hit him in the side crashing DarkShadow to the wall. White Shark then charged at DarkShadow to bite him again. DarkShadow seeing White Shark coming, notice a electrical box next to him, took the wire and impaled it in White Shark's mouth and electrocuted him. Once the electricity was depleted, DarkShadow pinned White Shark to the floor and started punching him repeatedly in the face, then he muster Dark Energy in his right hand and formed his Demon Arm Blade preparing to kill White Shark.

 

White Shark:

W-wa-wait. Don't kill me.

 

DarkShadow:

Your the one who wanted me to come after, so why don't I just finish you.

 

White Shark:

Cause I can give you information about Ifrit and his gang.

 

     DarkShadow then put his blade near his neck.

 

DarkShadow:

Like what?

 

White Shark:

The Hellfire Gang always though I was nothing but a dumbsh*t, but sharks intelligence is higher then they realize. I knew I needed some leverage against the Hellfire Gang just in case and I got it.

 

DarkShadow:

And what was that?

 

White Shark:

I discovered who Red Bishop is.

 

DarkShadow:

Who?

 

White Shark:

The soon to be Chief of Police, Captain Trevor.

 

     DarkShadow was silent, then removed his blade from his neck and reformed back to an arm.

 

White Shark:

Alright I told you what you needed to know, now you let me live.

 

     DarkShadow then punched White Shark hard in the head knocking him out. DarkShadow then stood up and looked at White Shark.

 

Voice:

Freeze!

 

     DarkShadow looked and saw three police officer in front of him. They slowly moved towards DarkShadow while pointing their guns at him.

 

Officer #2:

Hands above your head!

 

     DarkShadow comply of what the officer asked and placed his hands above his head.

 

Officer #2:

Cuff him.

 

     He ordered one of the other officers, as one officer started to move towards DarkShadow and taking out a pair of handcuffs. He was then near DarkShadow and just as he was about to grab his hand, DarkShadow moved quickly, grabbed and twisted the officers arm, and flip him to the floor, then grabbed his gun and threw it at the other officer, then made his way to the final officer , disarmed him, broke his right arm and leg then pushed his head to the floor knocking him out. DarkShadow then hear other officers heading they're way and turned into smoke and disappeared.

 

       At the Hospital where Captain Trevor was staying, in his room he is seen sleeping still, till his eyes then unexpectedly opened.

 

     Meanwhile David was entering his apartment, putting his things away, then headed to his office, sat on his desk and went on his computer and looked at some notes. He then notice DarkShadow standing in the corner and panicked and stood up quickly. DarkShadow then started to walk across the room and looked at some of the headlines framed on the wall.

 

David:

Your him, the Dark Demon.

 

DarkShadow:

I'm called the DarkShadow.

 

David:

Why are you here?

 

DarkShadow:

I've read some of your articles. Your a man that wants to bring out the truth. What do you know about the Red Bishop?

 

David:

Rumors really. He operates how the Hellfire Gang moves. But his real identity is a complete mystery, very few have ever truly seen him. Why do you want to know about him?

 

DarkShadow:

I have reason to believe that Captain Trevor is the Red Bishop.

 

     David eyes widen after hearing this.

 

David:

What make you believe that?

 

DarkShadow:

White Shark told me.

 

David:

Leader of the White Shark gang.

 

DarkShadow:

You'll be hearing of his arrest soon. He told me that Trevor is Red Bishop.

 

     David was silent, trying to process it all.

 

David:

Did you have this confession recorded?

 

      DarkShadow was silent, giving David his answer is "No".

 

David:

I'm afraid even if you say is true, without definitive proof, what you say won't be enough.

 

DarkShadow:

Agreed. But I am here for something else I want you to run a story.

 

David:

Of what you told me. I already told you what you say is not enough.

 

DarkShadow:

That is why you are going to run a different story, your going to speak of the Leader of the Hellfire Gang.

 

David:

You know who it is.

 

     David said, shock to hear what DarkShadow said.

 

DarkShadow:

Yes.

 

David:

But to what purpose, if I run this story.

 

DarkShadow:

He'll be public, he won't be able to hide himself. He'll have to start moving faster in what he's planning and that will make him slip up. Then he'll me MINE!

 

David:

What's his name?

 

DarkShadow:

Ifrit!
