The DarkShadow #14: The Cleansing Of Fire

     Inside the Sewer Control Center, Hellfire members are guarding the areas. As one heard a sound and looked towards the direction, but saw nothing, then DarkShadow snuck up behind him and cut him down with The Crimson Blood Sword. Then he turned into dark smoke, heads up to a balcony and reforms around two others and cut them down. DarkShadow then re-sheathes his sword to his back and proceeded forward. As he made his way to a hallway, he was blocked by 7 men who started firing with their machine guns. They landed a few hits, but Dark Energy started to form around the bullet wounds, taking out the bullet and healing him. DarkShadow then took out his sword again and through it right at one of the men, impaling him in the chest. DarkShadow then once again turned into dark smoke and heads towards that man fast, reformed, and ripped out his sword from the man's body then chopped of the head of another and killed two more. DarkShadow then looked towards then rest who gather around him.

DarkShadow:

One of you tell Ifrit. His death has come!

 

     Then DarkShadow charge at them swinging his sword.

     Meanwhile at one of the streets the two Hellfire member disguise as police officers are finish dumping the chemical at the manhole into the water stream. As one of them is about to go onto the hand radio, another police car came and Michael and another officer stepped out from it..

 

Hellfire Officer #1:

Hey what are you guy doing here.

 

Michael:

We need you two to come with us.

 

Hellfire Officer #1:

Um, why.

 

Michael:

Chief Trevor has been identify as the Red Bishop of the Hellfire Gang and has been arrested.

 

     The two Hellfire Officers were shock but remained silent.

 

Michael:

Also we have reason to believe that one or both of you might be Hellfire members disguise as officers that Trevor snuck in, to help in Ifrit's plan for this city. So we need you to both put your hands over you head and step away from the manhole.

 

      The two officers continued to remain silent and presumably started to raise there hands, but then they both quickly grabbed there guns and started firing at Michael and the other officer who immediately took cover behind they're car doors and started shooting back and the two Hellfire officers took cover behind there car and a shoot out began.

 

      Meanwhile back at the Sewer Control Center, Ifrit has finished dumping his chemical in the main sewer pipe line and then receives a transmission on his radio.

 

Ifrit:

What?

 

Hellfire Officer #1:

(Voice) Were under fire from police... they know!

 

     He said to Ifrit as he heard guns sounds on the radio, then he received another transmission.

 

Hellfire Officer #2:

(Voice) Were under fire. Cops have us surrounded!

 

Hellfire Officer #3:

(Voice) Here too... we can't hold on. Aaaaaah.

 

Hellfire Office #1:

Red Bishop has been taken down! What do we do!

 

      More and more transmissions came from Ifrit's men, telling him they are under fire.

 

Hellfire Member #1:

SIR, SIR... HE"S HERE. DARKSHA~!

 

      The transmission ended, but Ifrit learned that the DarkShadow is at the Sewer Control Center and became angry. He then turned to the open sewer pipe.

 

Ifrit:

I will not be stopped. I will save this city from weakness. The Cleansing Of Fire... BEGINS!

 

     Ifrit yelled, as fire formed on his hand and threw it in the pipe, igniting the water into fire that spread throughout the pipe and towards the city causing explosions all over the streets, building, everywhere.

 

     Back with Michael, who manage to kill one of the Hellfire Officers, heard a sound and looked back and saw explosions and fire coming they're way, and then looked towards his partner who also saw.

 

Michael:

WE GOTTA HURRY!

 

     They then both proceeded to move towards the remaining Hellfire Officer, but he manage to kill Michael's partner, but Michael side jump in the air and shot at the other Hellfire officer killing him. Michael then roll to the ground, recover then grabbed a metal orb and threw it to the open manhole cover and went inside.  As fire continue spreading in the sewer about to come in contact to the metal orb, but then the orb exploded and unleashed ice (revealing to be ice grenade that were supplied by the MIDAS Corporation to originally stopped DarkShadow), inside the sewer stopping the fire. Other Officers at other two locations manage to take down the Hellfire Officers and sent the ice grenades in the sewer unleashing ice that stopped and halted the fire. However the fire and causing explosions, still spread through much of New York causing much damage, casualties unknown. Michael seeing the destructions headed towards it, to help.

 

      Back at the Sewer Control Center, Ifrit is standing outside of the building on a balcony looking over the city and smiled.

 

Ifrit:

At last... New York... You are saved.

 

     He said basking in his accomplishment, but then Ifrit was tackled by DarkShadow and they both went over the balcony and crashed to the floor. They both rolled over away from each other. As they both started to stand up, Ifrit looked and saw DarkShadow taking out The Crimson Blood Sword and wielding it in his hand.

 

Ifrit:

That sword? So you killed Blaze Samurai!

 

DarkShadow:

There is no one left to fight for you. Tonight you die.

 

Ifrit:

I have worked my hole life for this day. And I have used every method I have to deal with you, use every last one of my best men, my somewhat allies to kill you, but each one has failed!

 

     Ifrit said as he started walking towards DarkShadow, removing his white lab coat, revealing more scar markings on his red skin, and two, rod saw blades with hooks attached on the top, on his back and takes them in his hand.

 

Ifrit:

I suppose that old saying is true... If you want something done right... Do It Yourself!

 

      Ifrit then stood still staring at DarkShadow, with his weapons in hand. DarkShadow also stared at Ifrit with his sword steady. The two continued to stared at each other, neither making the first move.

 

     Then, in a split second, the two quickly came at each other and their blades clash! As DarkShadow and Ifrit continued clashing they're blades at each other, and dodging each others strikes. DarkShadow dodges one of Ifrit's weapons and just as Ifrit was about to strike him with his other weapon, DarkShadow spinned kick him in the chest, pushing him back and falling to the floor. As Ifrit was starting to stand up, he saw DarkShadow standing in front of him swinging his sword straight at him, but Ifrit dodge, then wrapped one of the hooks around DarkShadow's ankle and pulled, tripping DarkShadow to fall, but he manage to recover quick. Ifrit then came at DarkShadow, striking with his weapons continuously, but DarkShadow blocked his strikes. Ifrit continued striking at DarkShadow, pushing him back, then Ifrit took one of his hooks and locked DarkShadow's sword holding it in place, creating an opening and Ifrit kick him in the stomach, pushing him back further, then Ifrit got behind DarkShadow and punctured his back with a hook and swung him, and slam DarkShadow into a wall. Ifrit then attempted to strike DarkShadow again with his remain saw blade hook, but DarkShadow block the strike with his sword. DarkShadow struggling holding one of Ifrit's weapons, while another's hook is lodged into his back and pinning him to a wall. Then DarkShadow unleashed the swords Red Energy, pushing Ifrit's weapon back, then swinging and breaking the one attach to his back. DarkShadow then stepped away from the wall, turned towards Ifrit, jump in the air, spinned and double kick Ifrit, first in the face, second in the chest, pushing him back and crashing around the floor. As Ifrit was down, DarkShadow took the hood on his back out, gushing black blood from him.

 

Ifrit:

Ha, ahahahahaha. You are such of fool. You know nothing of what all this was truly for.

 

      Ifrit said as he began to stand up, and DarkShadow looked at him breathing heavily.

 

Ifrit:

This... was, my... initiation. To "Them". New York was the first to be cleanse. With ME, as one of "Them", we will CLEANSE this world and build a new one. And we will  create a superior race for this New World.

 

      Ifrit said, preaching to DarkShadow and he still continue to look at him, then he started to walk towards Ifrit.

 

DarkShadow:

You are the fool. For thinking "They" would make you one of "Them".

 

     He said, mocking Ifrit. Then his sword emitted Red Energy again, and swung it straight at Ifrit, who attempted to block the strike, but DarkShadow's sword broke through Ifrit's weapon and made a cut on his chest. As DarkShadow was about to strike again, Ifrit breathed in deep and the breathed fire at DarkShadow, pushing him up and the air and dropping his sword and crashing on the floor.

 

     Ifrit feeling the sting on his cut from DarkShadow, then looked and saw The Crimson Blood Sword on the ground and kneeled towards it.

 

Ifrit:

You know, I always liked this sword, such power it emitted. The Blood that it crave, wants to spill.

 

     Ifrit said as he reached out his hand attempting to grab the sword. As he was about to touch it, a chain wrapped around his hand, as Ifrit looked and saw DarkShadow wielding the chain, he was then lifted up in the air by DarkShadow. Once Ifrit was over DarkShadow, he then pulled his chain down and made Ifrit crash to the ground. As Ifrit was about to stand up, DarkShadow pulled his chain again, pulling Ifrit towards him and once he was close, DarkShadow punched him in the face and he fell to the floor again. DarkShadow then grabbed Ifrit's neck, lifted his upper body up and wrapped his chain around him and then formed Dark Energy around his hand. As he was about to finish him off, Ifrit unleashed a blast wave of fire around his body, breaking the chain and pushing DarkShadow back.

 

     As DarkShadow recovered, Ifrit stood up and turned towards him and emitted fire around his arms.

 

Ifrit:

Let's settles this the old fashion way, with Fist!

 

DarkShadow:

Fine!

 

     he said to Ifrit, as Dark Energy surged around his arms.

 

     As the two got closer and closer to each other. They both raised there arms and strike colliding they're fist, bursting streams of fire and darkness. The two continued to collide they're fist at each other, bursting fire and darkness around the area. DarkShadow then blocked one of Ifrit's punches then turned and elbow hit Ifrit in the shoulder, then side kick him, but Ifrit grabbed his leg and punctured it with his fist. DarkShadow then jumped in the air and kicked Ifrit in the face, releasing him and they both fell to the floor. As DarkShadow attempted to get up, Ifrit, who got up first, grabbed him and lifted DarkShadow in the air and smashed into the ground. Ifrit then emitted fire around his leg, attempting to stomp on DarkShadow, but he manage to get up and kicked Ifrit in the chest, pushing him back, then came towards him and punched him multiple times in the chest, shoulder, face and jaw. As DarkShadow was about to punch him again, Ifrit grabbed his fist and hold it tight, then breathed in deep and breathed fire straight at DarkShadow, while still holding onto his fist, Ifrit then stropped, then breathed fire again, burning DarkShadow's suit and armor and making him kneel on both his knees. Ifrit then started punching DarkShadow on the right side of his face repeatedly, emitting fire from his hand. As Ifrit continued to punch DarkShadow, he tore of the right red mesh eye from his mask, then stopped and let go of DarkShadow's other hand. Ifrit looked at DarkShadow, standing over him, and DarkShadow not moving, facing the floor.

 

Ifrit:

Don't you see now! You were never the Demon of New York. I AM THE DEMON OF NEW YORK!

 

     He yelled at DarkShadow, proclaiming himself as a true demon, then emitted fire around his arms and was about to smash DarkShadow, but just then his arms were grabbed by DarkShadow's hands, and the flames disappeared. Ifrit struggled to get his arms free, then DarkShadow started to stand up, and squeeze Ifrit's arm's making him kneel on both his knees. Ifrit then looked up and saw DarkShadow's revealing right eye that was completely dark, then a flash of lighting came and Ifrit's eyes widened as he then saw an image of a Dark Armored Demon with sharp teeth and glowing dark eyes in front of him, then another flash of lighting came and Ifrit saw DarkShadow standing in front of him again.

 

DarkShadow:

... BURN!

 

     DarkShadow said, as he squeeze tighter on Ifrit's arms, then Black Fire started to emit around his arms and started covering him around his body.

 

Ifrit:

AH, AAAAH, AAAAAAAAAAH!

 

     Ifrit screamed as the Black Flames continued to cover all around his body, burning his flesh. DarkShadow stared at Ifrit, as he was being consumed by the flames. Then Ifrit was silent and DarkShadow released his arms and he fell to the floor as the flames killed him.

 

    DarkShadow then went and picked up The Crimson Blood Sword and place it in it's sheathe. Then looked towards New York and saw the fire that was still around in most area's.

 

     Weeks later, the fire that was covering most parts in New York were distinguish and people were standing/sitting on the streets, paramedics helping, and workers cleaning up the rubble, as New York is in the progress in being rebuilt.

 

     Then on a T.V Max and Stacy are sitting at the News Station.

 

Stacy:

New York is still recovering after Ifrit and his Hellfire Gang's Cleansing Of Fire attack. Reports of nearly 50 people injured and 39 dead, so far. And the structure of the Police Force is still chaotic after former recently appointed Chief Trevor was arrested for connections with the Hellfire Gang as the Red Bishop, along with other officers as well.

 

Max:

Yes New York has some tough days ahead. Most of the Hellfire member remaining have been caught and arrested but some are still out there. And with the Police trying to get reorganize, crime and looting are going throughout New York. But this City should give thanks to the Hero who risk his life and saved the City. Michael Reed Officer in the SCI division was the one who discovered former Chief Trevor as the Red Bishop and took him into custody, as well as minimize the damage from Ifrit's attack.

 

Stacy:

Indeed, thanks to Michael Reed efforts many people's lives were saved, but there are reports that say that the one who crippled the Hellfire gang and took down their Leader Ifrit, was the Dark Demon. The DarkShadow.

 

     Max remained silent for a moment then looked straight into the camera.

 

Max:

Reports, Stacy... not facts. This DarkShadow still holds a lot of the responsibility for interfering with matters that should have been dealt by the police.

 

Stacy:

But it was discovered that Trevor was the Red Bishop. And it is also reported that It was with the help of the DarkShadow that Michael was able to discover this, so without him... Ifrit's plan would've succeed.

 

Max:

The DarkShadow's involvement only leads to more trouble in this City. New York is better off without the DarkShadow!

 

Stacy:

Well, if given the chance, me along with many others. We would say to the DarkShadow "Thank You".

 

     Later Michael is in a room sitting behind a desk discussing with other people in the room.

 

Michael:

How's progress going.

 

Man #1:

We've arrested another group of remaining Hellfire members, but there still a great many of them still in hiding.

 

Man #2:

We've also manage to secure another ammunition storage house

 

Michael:

Good, how about the chemicals we also secure. Are they ready for transport.

 

Man #3:

Departure is tonight.

 

Man #1:

Also they Mayor, wants to speak to you tomorrow.

 

Michael:

Alright, I'll be there. Come on, there's still a lot more work to do.

 

     Later that night, DarkShadow (Mask, Suit, Jacket, and Armor, restored) is standing on a roof top looking down to the streets of New York.

 

DarkShadow's Monologue:

My name is the DarkShadow, I am a weapon, a monster, created to kill my targets and any in my path. I have memories of another person's life, but they are not mine, I killed him, because he was weak. I killed for an Organization called DEMON, not anymore, I have distance myself with that group. But I still must kill, because in my creation another was also created... A Demon that craves blood. I try to keep it locked away, but the only way to do that is to kill... so I kill, but I will kill those I deem worthy of killing. I have accomplish just that. Ifrit is dead, the Demon is satisfied... For Now! It will soon crave Blood again, so I must now find my next target in this City.

 

      He Then hears the scream of a women, and jumps off the roof of the building and landed in an alley. As he rise up, the DarkShadow takes out The Crimson Blood Sword and started walking to his next kill.

 

DarkShadow's Monologue:

My name is the DarkShadow and I am the Dark Demon of New York!

 

END

    

     Meanwhile two officers, are loading boxes onto a van. 

 

Officer #1:

Careful, I heard this stuff is dangerous.

 

     One of the officers said, and then they were finished.

 

Officer #2:

So where's all these chemical going?

 

Officer #1:

I think to some Government Agency.

 

Officer #2:

Like FBI, CIA?

 

Officer #1:

No... I think they're called T.O.R.C.H.

 

     He said as he then went and closed the van's back doors, "Slicing Sound". The officer then turned and his eyes widened as he saw the other officer's head had been cut off. He started to walk back slowly, shaking in fear. Bumps something, behind him, turns and sees a person wearing a White Hooded cloak and wearing a no mouth Skull shape mask, wielding a white handle, silver scythe. 

 

Officer #1:

What the Hell! 

 

     The person the spin the scythe towards the officer once. the officer just stood there for a moment, then he split in half. Then men came and opened the van door and started taking the boxes filled with Ifrit's chemicals. The Person then took out a phone and it started ringing and someone answered.

 

Voice:

Do you have it.

 

Person:

Yes. The chemicals are ours.

 

Voice:

Good. Ifrit failed as we expected, but his work will be invaluable to our cause.

 

Person:

What about the DarkShadow. Shall we deal with him.

 

Voice:

No, you are to not make a move on him.

 

Person:

But I can take him... he has to pay for his desertion.

 

Voice:

This is "HIS" Command! You will obey!

 

Person:

If it is "HIS" Command, I will obey.

 

Voice:



Be patient, "HE" only wants the DarkShadow to be left alone for now! Your time will come...White Reaper!

 

White Reaper:

Long, Live, DEMON!

 

     The call then ended. White Reaper then took of the Skull mask revealing to be Stacy Morgan.
