The DarkShadow Vol.2 #2: The Underground Citizens

    Following the events of the explosions that were set off in New York. Firefighter's and Ambulances are heading there to stop the fires that were started and help those who were injured. Also TV News van came to one of the scenes and Stacey Morgan got out of the van with others and set up the Camera ready to be broadcast.

Stacey:

I'm here, where one of the multiple explosions were set off on New York. As you can see Firefighters are working hard to put out the fires and rescue any who are injured. It is still unknown what was the cause of the explosion?

 

     At the scene, more Firefighter are working to stop the fire's, while also getting and evacuating injured people and taking them Ambulances.

 

     Soon later police officers arrive at the scene and Stacey went towards one of them.

 

Stacey:

Officer, can you tell us if you have any leads on the cause of these explosions.

 

Officer #1:

Sorry, now's not the time!

 

The Officer said to Stacey, as he then rushed in to assist the Firefighter's and Ambulance's in help the citizens, while Stacey watches with her camera crew.

 

     Later on the footage of the Firefighter's, Ambulance's and Police Officers working together is being played at the TV station, then the camera's focus in Matt.

 

Matt:



Thanks to the work of those men and women, the fire's were put out and people were rescued. Luckily there was no casualties and during the event, but there were multiple people who were injured in the explosions.

 

On that note, we still do not have any information of the cause or who was responsible for this attack. Could it be more remnants of the Hellfire Gang, or the White Shark Gang, or maybe this is the DarkShadow showing his true colors!

 

     Meanwhile at the New York City Hall. Michael and other men are entering to a room, where they see the Mayor with other men as well.

 

Mayor:

Ah! Good Michael your here.

 

     Michael and the other men stood in front of the Mayor and saluted him.

 

Michael:

Sir!

 

      He said, Michael then saw the Mayor looking at something. He then turned his head and saw the footage of the destruction from the explosions.

 

Mayor:

With the remnants of the Hellfire Gang practically finish, we were finally getting our city restored, but... now this.

 

     The Mayor said leaning on towards his desk with his hands holding his head looking displeased.

 

Michael:

Rest assure sir, we will find who is responsible.

Mayor:

I'm glad to hear that, that is why to help lead in this investigation. Along with her.

 

     The Mayor said as he pointed to a women who stepped forward and faced Michael.

 

Woman #1:

Lieutenant Lydia Jones, pleasure to meet you.

 

     She said as she introduced herself to Michael and reached out her hand to him, which he grabbed and the two shook hands.

 

Michael:

Officer Michael Reed CSI Division.

 

Mayor:

No longer, as of today I am promoting you to CSI lieutenant!

 

     Michael was shock to hear this. He then stood in position and saluted the Mayor.

 

Michael:

Thank you sir!

 

Mayor:

You two will be working together in reestablishing both the Police Force and the CSI Department. Until such a time, the right candidate can be found to fill in as Police Chief.

 

Both:

SIR!

 

      Michael and Lydia said and saluted to the Mayor, understanding what he said.

 

Mayor:

You both will also be working to find out the culprits responsible for these bombings and ~.

 

      Before the  Mayor could finish what he was saying a women barge into the room.

 

Women #2:

Sir! You need to see this.

 

     The women said as she turned om the T.V. and the Mayor, Michael and Lydia saw a man on the screen.

 

     Back at the News Station Matt and Sarah and everyone else were also seeing the man in the screen.

 

Man #1: 

Producer, it's Malcolm.

 

Producer:

I know... Where the hell's he been and where is he at.

 

Matt:

Malcolm, is there some news you've discovered, what's going on.

 

     Matt ask Malcolm, but he was silent. Then Malcolm was shot in the back of the head and fell to the floor. Everyone who was watching, were shock and panic. Then another man stepped forward and look into the camera and was on the screen.

 

Man #2:

... Greetings, the so call citizens of New York. Why do I call you that, because you are not the "True" Citizens of New York, "We" are. We are the citizens that were betrayed by those we trusted, those we loved and cast out by society to the streets. But we did not give up, we gathered together and went to the undergrounds of this City, worked together and created our own society, we became New York's Underground Citizens. For Years we worked to create a society of trust and peace, we had no crime, no betrayal and we took in those who were also cast out, and brought with us to begin anew and break free from the those who abandoned us. But now we can no longer remain hidden. The affect of your wars has affected us, our great society was consumed by fire and we lost many of our family. We realize know, the reason we survived from our hardships was not to just gather together and work to create our own society, but to save New York from "You" who bring it to ruin. The bombings were our doing, we take no pleasure in those who were injured, nor do I take pleasure in the life that I have taken, but we will fight to save this city that needs to be save by it's "True Citizens. We will soon begin our next assault, with our demands. I am the Underground King and I will lead my people to save New York from those above that threaten it.

 

     The screen then turns plank, as both the Mayor, Michael and Lydia, as well as the others in the room, and Matt and everyone at the News Station and people who saw on there T.V's at there home and other establishment were all silent.

 

     At the abandoned theatre, DarkShadow was also looking at his television being blank, after hearing the Underground King's Speech and just starred at the blank screen.
