The DarkShadow #12: Your Move

     Trevor who is now New York's Chief of Police returns to his office and sits down, with officers standing in front of him.

Chief Trevor:

Alright, have the men I assigned out on patrol for the lookout for the DarkShadow moved out yet.

 

officer #1:

Yes, sir.

 

Chief Trevor:

Also these items that we seized from White Shark, on want them loaded into a truck and transported to this location.

 

Officer #2:

Yes, sir.

 

Chief Trevor:

Then I want these men, at these locations, they have been reported as Hellfire Gangs holdouts, and the DarkShadow could be at one of them. Once the DarkShadow's position is known notify the Taskforce to move out. Understood.

 

     Then another officer entered the room and walked towards Chief Trevor's desk.

 

Officer #3:

Sir, we just got word that the Taskforce is engage against DarkShadow.

 

     Chief Trevor then stood up from his chair.

 

Chief Trevor:

Alright, then units out there to keep the public at safe distance and do not engage, let the Taskforce handle this, report back to me with any new development. All of you dismissed.

 

All Officer:

SIR!

     As the officer left the office out the door, Chief Trevor sat back down on his desk and took out his phone and made a call.

 

"Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring"

 

Soon Ifrit was on the line, at his hideout.

 

Ifrit:

Yes.

 

Chief Trevor:

Everything is going as planned.

 

Ifrit:

Excellent, so you manage to move our men in.

 

Chief Trevor:

Yes, I successfully insert our Hellfire members within the police force and sent them to the locations, for phase 2.

 

Ifrit:

Good. Informed them to begin once they are there, but do not start until I give the order.

 

Chief Trevor:

Understood sir. Also I have just been informed that the Taskforce has now engage the DarkShadow.

 

Ifrit:

Then it's all coming into place. Report back to me with any new development.

 

Ifrit:

Of course sir.

 

     Then they both hang up.

 

     At Ifrit's hideout, he is with Blaze Samurai.

 

Blaze Samurai:

This Taskforce that Red Bishop has assembled are mere fools, no matter what technology they have, the DarkShadow will defeat with ease.

 

Ifrit:

Agreed. We tried many moves against the DarkShadow, traps, assassins, strength. But know I see we need to match him in true skills and power. You will take you men and deal with the DarkShadow once and for all.

 

Blaze Samurai:

About time, you should have send me when he became more of a threat, to us. Instead of relying on such Orokamono "Fools".

 

     Ifrit then walked a few steps towards Blaze Samurai then stopped in front of him. then reached his hand out towards his face and emitted fire from it.

 

Ifrit:

Do not forget your place, do not forget who you serve. Never speak to me with such tone again. understood!

 

      Blaze Samurai then bowed his head.

 

Blaze Samurai:

Yes, Master.

 

Ifrit:

Then go.

 

     Blaze Samurai then left, leaving Ifrit alone.

 

Back at the at Chief Trevor's office, Michael walked in.

 

Michael:

Sir, I need to talk to you.

 

Chief Trevor:

Now really isn't the best time, I just got word that our men have engage the DarkShadow.

 

Michael:

That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I think we should pull them back.

 

     Chief Trevor was silent for a minute and looked at Michael.

 

Chief Trevor:

Why?

 

Michael:

Because I dont's think he's working for the Hellfire Gang.

 

Chief Trevor:

Of course he is, he came after Salamander cause he was talking, he took White Shark down, he came after me and attacked our officers.

 

Michael:

There's got to be a reason for that.

 

Chief Trevor:

What make you say that.

 

Michael:

Ok, for the last couple of weeks the DarkShadow has come to see me, and on the first day he gave me this piece of paper he stole from Ifrit.

 

Chief Trevor:

WHAT! How could you have kept this from us.

 

Michael:

I know sir, and I'm fully ready to accept the consequences. But take a look, it took a while, but I finally figure it out. These chemicals combined can turn water into a combustible fire. If the Hellfire Gang uses this in any water sources in New York, the damage could be severe.

 

     Chief Trevor looked at what Michael presented, then back at him with a stern look.

 

Chief Trevor:

Alright, head back to your see if you can find a way to stop this, I'll get all units ready.

 

Michael:

Yes sir, I've already have an idea that might help.

 

     Michael said, as he proceeded to leave, but just as he was about to open the door and head out, he stopped and spoke as he turned around towards Chief Trevor.

 

Michael:

Wait, sir. If DarkShadow came after Salamander before we arrested him, why not kill him then, why af~

 

     Before he could finished Chief Trevor knocked him out.

 

     Meanwhile, back at the alley where the DarkShadow is faced to faced to the TaskForce, who are secretly working for the Hellfire Gang.

 

TaskForce #1:

Well, we've been given orders by Chief Trevor to take you into custody, but we've also been given the secret order by Red Bishop... To end you.

 

     He said to DarkShadow clenching his fist together and the rest readying themselves in positions to move at the DarkShadow, while he just starred blankly at them. As one of them was about to move, he was impaled in the face by the DarkShadow's knee and fell. DarkShadow then mid air spin kick another in the side of his head making him fall as well. DarkShadow then landed and saw the remaining 5 circle around him and attack, but the DarkShadow dodge, block and fought back. As DarkShadow continued fighting the Taskforce, he manage to bring down two more, but was grabbed from behind in an arm, as he was being held down the remaining to charge at him, however DarkShadow lift his legs up and kicked them both then broke free from the arm lock, got behind the TaskForce officer and snapped his neck. with one down the remaining TaskForce got up and continue there attacks on the DarkShadow. The TaskForce started to land a few hits on the DarkShadow and they coordinated there attacks against him, but the DarkShadow continued to fight back, then ran up towards a wall, jump, and was above the Taskforce, stretched out his chain towards one of them and wrapped around him, and pulled him up and the DarkShadow punch him and he fell to the ground. As the DarkShadow landed on the ground, he lifted the Taskforce officer wrapped around his chain, lifted him up and tossed him towards the traffic and he was hit by an oncoming cars and killed. He charge at the other wrapping one of them leg with his chain and tripped him, and attack the rest taking down 3. Then the female TaskForce officer attacked DarkShadow with a knife, and kept on striking at him, but he dodge the blade and as he attempted to impale him in the head, he grabbed her wrist holding the blade, then made her impale a electricity box on the wall and was electrocuted and killed. DarkShadow saw the remaining four coming at him, and dodge there attack and jumped up in the air and turned into dark smoke that went towards the roof. The TaskForce officer, with their exoskeleton suits started to jump high between the building and make their way to the roof.

     On the roof DarkShadow's dark smoke form continued moving, but then the leader of the TaskForce got to the roof saw the smoke, then a surge of electricity started to form around his hand from the suit and punch the dark smoke effecting it causing the DarkShadow to reform. As the other three TaskForce officer made it to the roof, DarkShadow rised up and they charged at each other and DarkShadow fought the remaining four. As he continues to fight the TaskForce, while also blocking and dodging there attacks, he got behind one of them and ripped out the battery on the back, dissembling the suit. then started to circle around, wrapping his chain on him, while also jump kick an oncoming TaskForce officer pushing him back, and then threw the one wrapped around his chain off the roof and crashing to the ground killing him. The remaining three activated the electricity surge around there hands from the suit and attacked the DarkShadow shocking him multiple time. DarkShadow manage to recover quick and strike back, but each time he blocked one, another took an opening and shocked him. DarkShadow continued to stand his grand, but while taking down one TaskForce Officer another grabbed his head and smashed DarkShadow to the ground and shocked him. The other two also grabbed DarkShadow, while he was on the ground and hold him down and they all started to electrify him across his body. DarkShadow yelled as electricity surge around his body causing him pain. DarkShadow continued feeling more and more pain, till his right red eye on his mask started to glow dark and a wave of dark energy blast from his body, pushing the TaskForce officers back and crashing on the ground. As they all started to stand up, dark energy started to form around DarkShadow's right arm and his chain. He then swung his chain flowing with dark energy at one of the TaskForce officer and it slice him in half, then he retracted his chain back around his arm, ran towards another TaskForce officer, then with his right arm flowing with dark energy punch right through the TaskForce officers chest, killing him. DarkShadow then removed his arm from his chest and then the dark energy started to disperse and vanished. Then he was electric punch by the leader of the Taskforce, who then punched him again multiple times. The he pinned DarkShadow to the ground and continued electric punch him, then grabbed DarkShadow's face and shocked him, then removed his hand.

TaskForce #1:

You fool, you think you can stop Ifrit's plans for this city. New York will be his, and all who serve him will be given great power, and there is nothing a fool like you can do to stop it. Because... Your... Weak!

 

     He said to DarkShadow as he swung his electric fist at his face again, but was stopped by the DarkShadow by grabbing his fist, however the surge of electricity forming around the TaskForce officers fist, started shocking the DarkShadow's arm, but he felt nothing and starting squeezing the TaskForce officer's fist and looked right at him.

 

     Meanwhile, David is waking up, tied to a chair in an unknown room. Then  he sees Chief Trevor walking towards him.

 

Chief Trevor:

Your awake, bout time.

 

Michael:

Chief. Why are you doing this?

 

Chief Trevor:

This is why!

 

      Chief Trevor said as he rolled up his right sleeve, revealing the Hellfire tattoo. Michael was shock in seeing it.

 

Michael:

Your with the Hellfire Gang!

 

Chief Trevor:

I'm not just with them~.

 

     He said as he put on his mask.

 

Chief Trevor:

I'm the Red Bishop.

 

     Michael's eyes widened as he saw Chief Trevor wearing his Red Bishop mask in front of him.

 

Michael:

I don't understand. Why?

 

Red Bishop:

Because this city is sick. But not by thugs, gangs, criminals, that is they're nature. The true disease is weakness, cowards. That is what's plaguing this city.

 

Michael:

Why do you think that?

 

Red Bishop:

It was back when Alan and I were just starting out, I believe that criminals were the disease they plague society, but then when we were heading towards a robbery. I saw it. As the criminal was heading out of the store, he saw and shot at us. He then proceeded to ran and we pursue. Alan went to go cut him off, while I continued the pursuit. Then a man was in the criminals path, he was about to shoot at him and once he fire, the man immediately grabbed a boy and used him as a shield. The boy was hit. I stopped to help the boy, Alan was able to catch the criminal, but the boy was lost. That man was able to be set free with nothing but probation, his record was pretty clean, and he said he just panicked.

 

Michael:

Maybe he did?

 

Red Bishop:

And his reaction was too use a little boy as a human shield. He was nothing more than a coward concern with his own life. It was then that I saw the truth of what's sickening this city. Later on I met with Ifrit, he too saw the truth and showed me the way to cleanse it. And now after all this time, New York will finally be cleanse of weakness and the strong will remain to make it great again.

 

Michael:

You say the weakness of a man, who sacrificed a boy is the disease, but what about all the lives you and your Hellfire gang took, innocent people, children. What were they.

 

Red Bishop:

Necessary sacrifices, all for the greater good.

 

Michael:

What about Alan, what really happened to him?

 

      Michael asked Red Bishop who was silent and turned away.

 

Red Bishop:

As I said, for the greater good.  I was a difficult sacrifice to make, but I had to make it... For the city.

 

     Red Bishop said to Michael, admitting that he killed Alan. Michael then became angry and struggle to get free.

 

Michael:

YOU SON OF A B*CH, YOUR GONNA PAY!

 

     Red Bishop then turned around and pointed a gun at Michael's head.

 

Michael:

Just want to know. How are you going to cleanse this city?

 

Red Bishop:

Hm... Well that paper of the chemical formula who showed. Ifrit has been working on that for a long time, it does turn water into a combustible element and now it's ready. I have been secretly sneaking our Hellfire members within the police and have disperse then to multiple area's where the main sewer lines are. As we speak, they are distributing the chemical with the sewers water flow and once Ifrit gives the word, it will be ignited and the Cleansing Of Fire will come. 

 

Michael:

You will be stopped.

 

Red Bishop:

And who is going to stop us... You! You won't be around much longer, and if your wondering if the DarkShadow will, he is being dealt with as we speak remember.

 

     Just then the door in the room opened. Red Bishop and Michael looked and saw the TaskForce Leader coming in and dragging DarkShadow, and then tossed him to the floor next to Red Bishop's feet.

 

    Red Bishop:

Well, well, well. This is excellent news. Where are the others?

 

     Red Bishop asked as he saw he was alone.

 

TaskForce #1:

Dead.

 

Red Bishop:

Acceptable losses, the results, promising.

 

     Red Bishop then kneeled down and took out a knife.

 

Red Bishop:

I know, Ifrit would take great satisfaction in killing you, but so would I.

 

     He then stabbed DarkShadow in the throat with his knife and slit it opened. Michael couldn't believe what he saw, the DarkShadow killed. Red Bishop laughed silently and the TaskForce Leader watched as blood was dripping out of DarkShadow's throat.

 

  Red Bishop:

Now... Let's see what kind of face was behind the mask.

 

     Red Bishop then reached his hand out and removed DarkShadow's mask revealing his face, however Red Bishop looked shocked, displease and confused, then stood up.

 

Red Bishop:

What the hell! What is th~

 

     Before he could finished Red Bishop was punched in the face by the TaskForce Leader, fell to the floor and was out cold. The TaskForce Leader then grabbed Red Bishop's knife, went to Michael and released him. Michael stood up, looked at the dead body then at the TaskForce Leader who was standing over Red bishop.

 

Michael:

D- DarkShadow!

 

DarkShadow:

Yeah.

 

Michael:

Huh. Clever.

 

      He said, impressed by DarkShadow plan in switching places with the TaskForce Leader to fool Red Bishop.

 

Michael:

Listen, I know the Ifrit's plan. He's gonna turned the water within the sewer into a combustible liquid. We have to stop them.

 

DarkShadow:

How?

 

Michael:

I think I know something that could prevent, maybe even stop it.

 

DarkShadow:

Good luck with that.

 

Michael:



Aren't you going to help?

 

DarkShadow:

I'm going to go deal with Ifrit. I have no intention in saving this city.

 

Michael:

But I don't know you to trust, Trevor said he's been planting Hellfire members in the police force, and there no telling who else is working for the Hellfire Gang.

 

DarkShadow:

Your smart, I'm sure you'll figure something out. But finding Ifrit is my priority. However take him, show everyone who's behind that mask and the one's you can trust should reveal themselves.

 

     DarkShadow said mentioning Red Bishop, who is still unconscious and giving Michael an idea.

 

     Later on Michael is places Red Bishop who is cuff in the back of his car and drives away. Up on the roof DarkShadow back in his mask and suit watches them leave. Then an arrow lands the ground next to DarkShadow. He looks and sees a note attach. DarkShadow then takes and opens the note and sees the Japanese word for Duel (決闘), with a location and signed by the Blaze Samurai. DarkShadow then looks towards the city, then jumps off the roof heading towards his next fight.
