Review:
Pack full of surprises in Season 2 of Glitch Techs (Now Released on Netflix). We got to explore and learn more about High-Five, Miko and Mitch, as well as other Tech's who work for Hinobi and also learning more about Phil and Bitt's history together. We also get a new character this season, a Hacker/Modder named Ridley. The Glitch Tech Team's face some real challenges, not just facing off against New Powerful Glitches, but also some personal issue's, especially Fives and Miko.
High-Five, is still the responsible type, always having to cover for Miko, but in this season we see that even he has his moments when he wants to break the rules. Whether it is fulfilling a childhood dream, or capturing a rare game character glitch. However he has shown to really grown, standing up for not only himself, but for other's as well (including his best friend Miko). High-Five has shown true leadership when the Hinobi store came under attack and he has proven himself to be a Leader that other's would gladly follow! We learn a bit more about Five's past, including information about his father, and that his passion for Gaming and his skills, started while hanging around his father.
Miko is still the Gaming Warrior she was born to be! She continues to take on any challenge that he comes across, head on and full force! She does things her way, that does kind of backfire's on her teammates a bit, but she proves that she always got her friends back, including Fives. She faces her own challenges this season, among them was when the rest of the Tech's learn that she cannot be reset, which greatly surprises them giving on what they learn that "Everyone Resets". This makes her feel gloomy cause of their reaction and when Mitch mocks her for it. However she knocks it down when she meets Ridley and with Fives always on her side she overcomes it. We see a bit of Miko's childhood as well and learn that she felt alone at one time, and through gaming gave her the confidence and strength to push forward We also see her competitive side and that she has no problem challenging anyone, if it to defend her high score!
Mitch William' is still Mitch Williams (The Dingleberry). He still considers himself the only real Glitch Tech that Hinobi needs, still prefers to do things himself (just so he can take all the credit and XP) and looks down on everyone, especially Fives and Miko! However through Season 2, he start's to see his errors. When he cause a Glitch to infiltrate Hinobi, he tried to make it right, but the rest of the team decided they did not want his help. We also see that there are time's when he can see the potential of other's! Another thing we see is a look into Mitch life before Hinobi, that he was a Gamer, who made video's to help other and we also get a look at his family who are also gamers (Rather Aggressive Gamers though)! Mitch begins to show sign's of improvement and started to change (not just changing his hairstyle), but he's still act's like a "Dingleberry"!
Ridley a newcomer to the series. She is a Hacker and a Modder. She learns about Glitches, when poking around her Console and with her being a genius was able to create custom types of Glitches (which she fist calls Pixels) of her own. We see that she is a loner type and finds it hard for people to understand her (and her understanding others). When she first met Miko, the two started to forge a bond. However when she showed Miko her work and when Miko pointed out the dangers that it could bring, Ridley began to show doubt and run. She soon starts to rethink her way of view after spending more time with Miko and Fives and help correct a mistake she had made! What will come next for Ridley will have to wait and see.
Phil nd Bitt, we see that they have a long history together and their friendship helps Phil uncover secret's that he had forgotten! We also see in this Season Phil in action (Tech Suit and Gauntlet)!
In this Season we got to see more of the other Glitch Techs, Zahra, Haneesh, Nix and Bergy. We get to see them be more part of the action, as well as see them when they are not in their Glitch Tech uniforms. Zahra has started to become more part of a team with Fives and Miko, she's sees Miko and a great teammate and sees Fives as a Leader she can follow (and has also started seeing him more than just a fellow Glitch Tech). Nix we see that he is a fun guy to hang around with and cannot hold a straight face. Derby we see him coming into his own, still self conscious about a few things, but is ready to b there for Battle (even gained admirer)! Oh and Nix who seems to also work at the Arcade as "The Scorekeeper" at least until someone starts calling him that!
We also see in this season is that the Glitch problem does expand more than to one city and Fives and Miko meets other Glitch Techs from the City next to them, with their own style and uniform.
This season really had a lot, but also lack a few things a well. We didn't get Miko's family his season (they were just mention and shown in flashback). We also didn't get much on more of the history of Glitches, as well as the mystery towards Miko Resetting issue. Also for the "Glitch Pet's", Allie and Alpha. We saw a lot of Ally, but didn't get to see what other abilities she could have and Alpha, he does make an appearance but only in one episode (and a flashback). The also put in a clipshow episode and those are just unnecessary.
Overall this was a great season. We got to see Fives and Miko improve and grow stronger! We got to see other character in action. Lot of goo battles took place, some small, some big and some HUGE! As well as learning about a conspiracy that might be taking place!
My Rating For Glitch Techs: Season 2 is... (Awesome)
